Stabilised 1-bromopropane compsn. comprises: (i) 100 pts.wt. 1-bromopropane; (ii) 0.1-5 pts.wt. nitromethane; (iii) 0.1-5 pts.wt. 1,2-butylene oxide or trimethoxymethane. Also claimed are a compsn. comprising 0.1-5 pts.wt. nitromethane and 0.1-5 pts.wt. 1,2-butylene oxide or trimethoxymethane, a process for improving the stability of 1-bromopropane by adding a stabiliser comprising said compsn. to 1-bromopropane, and the use of said compsn. for stabilising 1-bromopropane.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a standard material for ultraviolet spectrophotometric analysis indicating a favorable light absorption characteristic for evaluating the cleanness of an article, and used stably, and a cleanness evaluation method. SOLUTION: The present invention provides the standard material for the ultraviolet spectrophotometric analysis for evaluating the cleanness of the article having, as a main component, one kind or more of materials selected from a group comprising dipropyl benzenes, butyl benzenes, benzenes substituted with -(CH 2 )OH group where n is 1 or 2, and benzenes substituted with 5-6C cycloalkyl group, and the cleanness evaluation method using the standard material. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an azeotrope-like detergent composition suitable for deterging lead-free solder flux without using a halogen-based solvent, having excellent deterging power to a smudge in a partly denatured or carbonized state because of reflowing the lead-free solder flux at a high temperature, requiring no rinsing, and capable of using even under conditions of being repeatedly recovered by distillation. SOLUTION: This azeotrope-like detergent composition comprises 3-methoxy-3-methyl-1-butanol and at least one kind of saturated alicyclic hydrocarbons selected among methyldecalin, propylcyclohexane, ethylmethylcyclohexane, trimethylcyclohexane, butylcyclohexane, methylpropylcyclohexane, ethyldimethylcyclohexane, diethylcyclohexane, pentylcyclohexane, hexylcyclohexane and tetrahydrodicyclopentadiene. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-chlorinated type extraction solvent composition, similar to a chlorinated type solvent, which is capable of extracting efficiently oily matters being attached to the parts, wherein the oily matters can be determined precisely and simply by use of an ultraviolet spectrophotometry. SOLUTION: The extraction solvent composition contains at least one or more esters represented by general formula (1): R1 -COO-R2 or (2): R1 -COO-R3 -O- R4 , [wherein, R1 is CH3 or C2 H5 ; R2 is a 1-7C straight chain, branched chain or cyclic alkyl group; R3 is a 3-6C straight chain or branched chain alkyl group; R4 is CH3 ]. Further, the composition preferably contains a 6-12C straight chain, branched chain or cyclic saturated hydrocarbon or alicyclic saturated hydrocarbon.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method using a combustible cleaning agent, in which the object to be cleaned can be cleaned efficiently and safely while distilling the used cleaning agent, recovering the distilled cleaning agent and repeatedly using the recovered cleaning agent without charging the cleaning agent, the chargeable object to be cleaned and a charcheable cleaning tool. SOLUTION: The object to be cleaned is cleaned at 50-130°C by using the hydrocarbon-based cleaning agent, which is composed of two or more components selected from 10-12C hydrocarbons and glycol ethers and has the volume resistivity of 1×10 8 to 1×10 13 Ω-cm and an excellent antistatic property, and keeping the pressure in a cleaning tank below 200 mmHg. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hydro-extracted solvent composition which is little in influence on an environment while an incombustible and excellently hydro- extracted performance is provided by a method wherein a compound expressed by a specific formula is contained by a specific amount in a specific amount of 1-bromopropane or 2-bromopropane. SOLUTION: In the cases wherein precision parts, optical parts or the like are washed with a water based washing agent and water and a hydro-extracted solvent composition having 1-bromopropane or 2-bromopropane as a main constituent is used for removal of water after washing, the hydro-extracted composition is prepared by containing 1 to 10 pts.wt. of a compound expressed by the formula in 100 pts.wt. of 1-bromopropane or 2-bromopropane. In the formula, (n) and (m) indicate each an integer of 1 to 5. In the 1-bromopropane or 2- bromopropane to be used, further as a stabilizer, one or more kinds to be selected from nitroalkanes, epoxides, benzotriazoles, phenols, or the like. can be contained.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a metal detergent for aluminum capable of repeatedly using for a long term at high temp. by adding nitromethane and 1,2-butylene oxide in a specified ratio as a stabilizer to 2-bromopropane. CONSTITUTION: Nitromethane in an amount of 2-5 pts.wt. and 0.1-1 pts.wt. 1,2-butylene oxide are added to 100 pts.wt. 2-bromopropane to prepare a metal detergent for aluminum. 1,4-Dioxane, dimethoxymethane, iso-propanol, etc., are used together with the nitromethane and the 1,2-butylene oxide as other stabilizer. In this way, a suitable metal detergent for aluminum which does not corrode a matter to be treated and a washing device, etc., and hardly causes a coloring and contamination to the matter to be treated is obtained.
