    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hydro-extracted solvent composition which is little in influence on an environment while an incombustible and excellently hydro- extracted performance is provided by a method wherein a compound expressed by a specific formula is contained by a specific amount in a specific amount of 1-bromopropane or 2-bromopropane. SOLUTION: In the cases wherein precision parts, optical parts or the like are washed with a water based washing agent and water and a hydro-extracted solvent composition having 1-bromopropane or 2-bromopropane as a main constituent is used for removal of water after washing, the hydro-extracted composition is prepared by containing 1 to 10 pts.wt. of a compound expressed by the formula in 100 pts.wt. of 1-bromopropane or 2-bromopropane. In the formula, (n) and (m) indicate each an integer of 1 to 5. In the 1-bromopropane or 2- bromopropane to be used, further as a stabilizer, one or more kinds to be selected from nitroalkanes, epoxides, benzotriazoles, phenols, or the like. can be contained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To produce a metal detergent for aluminum capable of repeatedly using for a long term at high temp. by adding nitromethane and 1,2-butylene oxide in a specified ratio as a stabilizer to 2-bromopropane. CONSTITUTION: Nitromethane in an amount of 2-5 pts.wt. and 0.1-1 pts.wt. 1,2-butylene oxide are added to 100 pts.wt. 2-bromopropane to prepare a metal detergent for aluminum. 1,4-Dioxane, dimethoxymethane, iso-propanol, etc., are used together with the nitromethane and the 1,2-butylene oxide as other stabilizer. In this way, a suitable metal detergent for aluminum which does not corrode a matter to be treated and a washing device, etc., and hardly causes a coloring and contamination to the matter to be treated is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a new compound useful as an agricultural and horticultural fungicide having excellent fungicidal activity and a herbicide having excellent herbicidal activity, free from phytotoxicity to crops such as rice, wheat and corn and having high safety. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula I (X and Z are H, halogen, lower alkyl, etc.; Y is S or O; R and R are H or lower alkyl; A and B are CH or N; R is H when R is H), e.g. N-methyl-2-(N'-methylphenylthiocarbamoyloxy) acetanilide. The compound of formula wherein R is H can be produced e.g. by reacting 1 equivalent of a compound of formula II with 1-10 equivalent of a compound of formula III at 20-100 deg.C for several min to 48hr. Another compound of formula wherein R is lower alkyl is produced e.g. by reacting 1 equivalent of a carbamoyl chloride of formula IV with 1-10 equivalent of a compound of formula III under the condition same as the production condition of the compound of R =H.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a new industrial microbicide having broad antimicrobial spectrum, safe applicability and high practical value and producible at a low cost by using a specific carbamate amide derivative as an active component. CONSTITUTION:The objective industrial microbicide contains a carbamate amide derivative of formula (R and R are H or 1-3C alkyl; X and X are H, 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C alkoxy or 1-3C haloalkyl) (e.g. the compound of formula wherein X is 4-Cl and all the X , R and R are H) as an active component. Since the industrial microbicide exhibits microbicidal action on a wide variety of microorganisms, it can be used for preventing the microbial contamination of environment of e.g. medical facilities, house and commercial facilities. It is also usable for the control of harmful microorganisms in industrial products such as pulp, wood, leather, fiber, synthetic resin, paint and adhesive or in the production process of the products. The controllable harmful microorganisms are e.g. Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas cepacia, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method for an organic chlorine compound which is industrially advantageous by reducing harmful effects of a highly toxic organic chlorine compound such as dioxins, polychlorinated biphenyls or substances containing toxic organic chlorine compounds such as chlorobenzenes used as precursors of these toxic substances (flying ash, soil, bottom sediment, or the like) at an ordinary temperature without heating.
    SOLUTION: The organic chlorine compound is treated by bringing the substance containing the organic chlorine compound into contact with an alkaline metal compound and an aliphatic alcohol compound.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dewatering solvent compsn. which exhibits excellent flame retardance and dewatering performance while hardly affecting the environment by incorporating 1- or 2-bromoprppane and a salt formed by the reaction of a 6-12C aliph. monocarboxylic acid with a 6-12C aliph. prim. monoamine into the same. SOLUTION: n-Caproic acid, or the like are listed as the aliph. monocarboxylic acid. n-Hexylamine, or the like, are listed as the aliph. prim. monoamine. A salt of such a monocarboxylic acid, and such a monoamine (a carboxylic acid amine) is incorporated pref. in an amt. of 0.1-5 wt.% into a dewatering solvent. The solvent compsn. can be prepd. by directly adding the monocarboxylic acid and the monoamine to 1- or 2-bromopropane. In this case, a nitroalkane may be added as a stabilizer, pref. in an amt. of 0.1-5 wt.% of bromopropane.
