Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a coating using the eddy current to determine the physical properties of the coating, and its inspection method. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method and an inspection method, a coating is deposited to determine at least one physical property of the coating using the eddy current technology. In a detailed embodiment, an abrasive seal 20 of 0.3-0.5 in metallic volumetric ratio is attached to the inside 32 in the circumferential direction of a compressor of a gas turbine engine. An eddy current probe is positioned by a manipulator. The distance between the probe and a coating surface is measured by using the frequency of at least 1 MHz.
