Abstract: A turbine engine (20) has a circumferential array of combustion chamber conduits (50) downstream of the compressor (30) and upstream of the turbine (36). Means are provided for directing oxygen-containing gas from the compressor (30) to the conduits (50) so as to cyclically feed a gas charge into each conduit (50) through its first port (80) and permit discharge of combustion products of the charge and fuel through both the first (80) and second (82) ports.

Abstract: A pulsed combustion device includes a support structure (25) and a combustor carousel (52) supported by the support structure (25) and rotating relative thereto about an axis (500).
