    Abstract: A wind turbine nacelle configured for mounting on a wind turbine tower and for supporting a rotor-supporting assembly, the nacelle comprising a main unit, and at least two auxiliary units. To increase flexibility and improve assembly and maintenance procedures of the wind turbine, the auxiliary unit comprises at least two auxiliary units each accommodating at least one wind turbine component, e.g. a converter or a transformer. The auxiliary units are attached individually to the same wall of the main unit, e.g. to a side wall or a rear wall.

    Abstract: An electric modular system for connection to a hybrid power plant. An enclosure (CNT), e.g. a standard size container houses: 1) a first electric converter system (CV1) connected to an electric output of a wind turbine and generates a first DC output, 2) a second electric converter system (CV2) arranged connected to an output of a photovoltaic source (PV) or a battery (BT) and generates a second DC output, 3) an output electric converter system (CV0) receiving the first and second DC outputs and generates an electric output e.g. for connection to an electric grid. A cooling system (CLS) with a flow duct to receives air from outside and provides a controllable amount of cooling to the electric converter systems accordingly, e.g. via controllable flow resistive elements. A cooling controller (CC) senses output loads (L1, L2, L0) of the electric converter systems (CV1, CV2, CV0) and controls the cooling system (CLS) to direct an amount of cooling to the electric converter systems (CV1, CV2, CV0) as a function of their electric output loads (L1, L2, L0). Especially, back-to-back mounted sets of cabinets with modules of the electric converter system, and each with a dedicated cooling unit allows effective use of cooling capacity according to the actual electric load situation.

    Abstract: A wind turbine (10) includes a nacelle (14) with a longitudinal axis (LA) aligned with the flow of the incoming wind during operation. When so aligned, the nacelle defines a longitudinal direction (X). The wind turbine (10) includes one or more heat-generating components (22) and a modular cooler (24) operatively coupled to the one or more heat-generating components (22). The modular cooler (24) includes one or more cooling modules (30) with each including one or more cooling units (32). Each cooling unit (32) includes a heat exchanger (40) defining a cooling area (38), which defines a normal axis (NA) and a deflector plate (42) to divert the flow of the incoming wind by an angle less than 180º relative to the longitudinal direction (X). Each cooling unit (32) is oriented such that the normal axis (NA) is non-parallel to the longitudinal axis (LA). The modular cooler (24) is scalable in multiple dimensions to increase the cooling capacity of the cooler (24). A method of assembling the modular cooler (24) is also disclosed.
