Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile telephone set having both a telephone function and a music player function.
SOLUTION: The mobile telephone set is equipped with a musical sound memory 13, a controller 14, DACs 16, 17, and amplifiers 18, 19. Musical sound data distributed from a download center are temporarily written in a RAM 3 and written in the musical sound memory 13 just before start play according to an instruction from a user. The controller 14 then successively reads the musical sound data in the musical sound memory 13 and supplies the data to the DACs 16, 17. The DACs 16, 17 convert the musical sound data into analog signals and output the signals to speakers 21, 27 via the amplifiers 18, 19 and mixers 20, 26. Thus, stereo musical sounds are generated from the speakers 21, 27.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate operation without expanding the scale of a hardware. SOLUTION: A FIFO 20 stores inputted data Din according to a write address supplied from a read/write counter 21 and outputs the stored data according to a read address. An O/S (over sampling) coefficient designation/interpolation ratio generation part 23 calculates COE A and COE B (actually only the COE A as the set of coefficients for finding two over sampling points A and B required for finding the value of an interpolating point) for over sampling and linear interpolation, and also calculates an interpolation ratio while considering over sampling. According to the said coefficient set COE A and the interpolation ratio considering the over sampling, an 8-times over sampling/linear interpolating part 24 converts the sampling frequency of input data Din through linear interpolation and convolving operation without two producers, i.e., over sampling and linear interpolation.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the title circuit adaptive to various input timing specifications while employing a fixed system clock by detecting a sampling period of an input digital data so as to generate a start signal having a frequency being N times of the sampling frequency and controlling the output timing of the digital data and a synchronizing signal based on a bit input speed. CONSTITUTION:A bit clock BIC whose period is FB is inputted, a word clock SDSY and 16-bit serial data SBI for L and R channels are inputted to an S/P conversion section 11 for each sampling period FW(=1/fs). Thus, a synchronizing signal generating section 20 detects the leading of the word clock SDSY and detects the bit number of the bit clock BIC inputted by one sampling period FW. Then an output word clock WCO having a frequency 8 times the input sampling frequency fs is generated based on the result. The processing by an arithmetic control section 18 and an arithmetic section 12 is synchronized with an internal clock phiM and executed for each trailing of the word clock WCO and 8 sets each of digital data for L and R channels are obtained in one sampling period FW.

In the case that, e.g. a telephone number for a request is displayed on the display panel 23 in the FM teletext multiplex broadcast, when an operation section 14 is used to designate a telephone number in use and a dial button is depressed, the telephone number displayed on the display panel 23 is sent to a communication section 15, and the telephone number is transmitted from an antenna 16.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech synthesizer for a telephone terminal device capable of making user's speech clear even if background sound is set. SOLUTION: When recording of a message on an answering machine is indicated, a mixing ratio control circuit 33 sets the coefficient of a coefficient multiplier 34 to 0, and that of a coefficient multiplier 35 to a prescribed value. Then, a musical sound signal of a melody reproduced by a music reproduction part 37 is supplied to a coder/decoder part 14 via the coefficient multiplier 35 set to the prescribed coefficient and a mixer 36, and stored in a recording/ reproducing part 51 after compression-coded. When user's voice is inputted from a microphone 21, the mixing ratio control circuit 33 sets the coefficient of the coefficient multiplier 34 to a certain value from 0, and reduces the coefficient of the coefficient multiplier 35. When the voice input from the microphone 21 is decreased, the mixing ratio control circuit 33 further reduces the coefficient of the coefficient multiplier 35.
