Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a shopping cart which is light weight and foldable in a small size. CONSTITUTION: A supporting rod 2 is expandable by an outer cylinder 3, an inner cylinder 4 and a handle rod 5 which are provided separately. A hook 13 for hanging a bag for goods is provided at an upper portion of the supporting rod 2. Leg rods 18 and supporting arms 19 are pivotally mounted on pins 17, respectively. Each leg rod 18 is connected to a guide ring 20 through a respective connecting rod 21. A slide member 24 pivotally supported on the connecting rod 21 engages with the supporting arm 19 in a slidable connection. The guide ring 20 is fixed on a position (as shown) of the supporting rod 2 by a stopper 25 for developing the supporting arms 19. When the guide ring 20 is released, the leg rods 18 are moved along an arrow A, the guide ring 20 is moved along an arrow B and wheel axles are turned along the opposite direction, the rods/ arms 18, 19, 21 are folded and contact with the side surface of the outer cylinder 4. Rings 41 are provided for engaging the bag with cords.
