The fixed part (11) of the hinge (10) has a substantially flat housing body (16', 16") that extends along a plane parallel to or passing through the articulation axis (15), the body (16', 16") of the fixed part (11) being shaped so as to be insertable and fixable in a flat seat (17) which is provided in the thickness of the side wall (12) of the item of furniture.
