Abstract: The invention relates to a filter cartridge for removing impurities from a dirty gas flow to be filtered. The filter cartridge includes a cylindrical filter element made from filter material, a filter insert inserted in the filter element, an inner space formed between the filter element and the filter insert, with the filter material being designed for being cleaned when a compressed air flow is applied against a flow direction of the dirty gas flow, and a base body of a flow guiding device having a surface designed for guiding the compressed air flow. The base body has a distal end zone which is prepared for being completed by an end piece separate from the filter cartridge and mountable to an external housing for flow guiding the compressed air flow. Further, the invention relates to a centering device, a filter unit, a method for assembling and a method for cleaning said filter cartridge.

Abstract: A round filter element has an annular circumferentially extending pleated filter medium body to be flowed through by a fluid to be purified radially relative to a longitudinal axis of the filter medium body. The second end face is axially opposite the first end face. One of the first and second end disks is open.

Abstract: A filter element includes a media pack and a gasket member. The gasket member includes first and second gasket regions separated by a channel. The elements are usable in a dust collector having a dirty air inlet, a clean air outlet, and a tubesheet dividing between an unfiltered and a clean air volume. An element is removably mounted and sealed within the tube sheet. At least one projection angled relative to a plane of the tube sheet extends into the channel of the gasket member. A method of servicing a dust collector includes removing a first filter element from the tube sheet in the housing, and then sealing a second filter element against the tube sheet by orienting at least one projection extending from a plane of the tube sheet into a channel defined by a gasket member secured to the second filter element. An axial force is exerted to form a seal between the gasket member and the tube sheet.

Abstract: An air filter retention interface for use with an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The interface is substantially secured in an opening of a wall and the interface attaches to an air filter at the front end of the interface and an air intake tube on the back end of the interface. The interface has a filter sleeve and a filter base. During operation of the engine the filter sleeve is disposed through the opening in the wall such that the wall is between beads disposed on the external surface of the filter sleeve and the filter base thereby substantially securing the interface in place and the front end of the filter base is attached to the filter and the back end of the filter base is attached to the air intake tube and air passes through the filter then through the filter base and filter sleeve and then into the air intake tube and toward the engine.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are air intake assemblies for internal combustion engines. In some embodiments, an air intake assembly includes an air filter configured to produce filtered air, a sealed filter housing configured to house the air filter therein, and an intake tube configured to convey the filtered air to an internal combustion engine. The filter housing includes an air intake port configured to provide intake air to the air filter. The air filter is configured to remove particulate matter from the intake air and produce the filtered air. The air filter includes a multi-component coupling interface configured to accept an intake-end portion of the intake tube in the coupling interface. The filter housing includes an aperture configured to accept the coupling interlace of the air filter in the aperture. Also disclosed herein are methods of the air intake assemblies.

Abstract: An air compressor system having a refrigerated dryer and a form of a filter is used between a compressor of the air compressor system and the refrigerated dryer. The filter can include a conical shape such as frustoconical, and includes an outer retainer having a plurality of openings and an inner mesh filter. The retainer and mesh filter can be made out of metal. An end cap and a flange can close off both ends of the conical shape, and a handle can extend from a flange to aid in ease of handling. The components extending between the ends (i.e. between the end cap and flange) may only include the retainer and the mesh filter.
