Abstract: An inkjet coating machine is provided to prevent the components in the paint from precipitating. The inkjet coating machine includes: a robot arm having a chuck at a front end and a nozzle head unit detachably mounted on the chuck. The nozzle head unit includes a nozzle head having a nozzle for spraying the paint, a nozzle control unit for controlling driving of the nozzle, and a head-side circulation path enabling the paint to circulate within the nozzle head. The nozzle head, the nozzle control unit and the head-side circulation path are integrally configured. The coating machine further includes a standby holding unit that holds at least one nozzle head unit in standby and a head replacement unit that replaces the nozzle head unit.

Abstract: A method for controlling a recirculation pump assembly is disclosed. The method includes receiving a process-dependent characteristic and determining a recirculation flow rate of adhesive that flows to the recirculation pump assembly based on the process-dependent characteristic. The method further includes determining a recirculation pump speed of the recirculation pump assembly for pumping the adhesive to a supply channel using the recirculation flow rate, and adjusting an operating speed of the recirculation pump assembly to match the recirculation pump speed. A system and storage device for performing the above method are also disclosed.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods of seasoning food product in a mechanized food product line advantageously seasons the food product in cartons or containers therefor so that the number of days or so of shipment from the process plant to destinations like grocery stores does double duty as time for the seasoning to be absorbed. Food product can be loaded into containers, which are placed on a conveyor line and passed under a seasoning dispenser which thereby applies a top coat. The containers are conveyed to shrink wrap stations or like packaging closure processes, then to refrigerated or freezer storage and onward by refrigerated or freezer motor vehicles. The dispensing apparatus has metering provisions for application of a measured amount and a controller for switching the dispenser ON as a container passes underneath and then OFF as the container goes past.

Abstract: A device for delivering a sealant material includes a first nozzle having a first nozzle head and a second nozzle having a second nozzle head. The first and second nozzle heads each independently have an outlet, an inlet opposite the outlet, and an open channel that extends through a body of the nozzle heads from the inlet to the outlet. The first nozzle is spaced apart from the second nozzle to form a space between the nozzle heads to allow a component to enter a first side of the device and exit a second side of the device while passing by the first and second nozzle heads. A notch is formed through the body of each of the first and second nozzle heads at a side where the component exits the device to distribute a sealant material onto each side of the component.

Abstract: In one example, a pump assembly configured to connect to a manifold of an applicator includes a pump, a drive motor unit, and a thermal isolation region. The drive motor unit includes an output drive shaft connected to the pump and a drive motor configured to rotate the output drive shaft about a drive axis. The thermal isolation region is between the pump and the drive motor. The thermal isolation region includes an isolation plate and a thermal isolation frame. In one example, a cooling sleeve surrounds a proximal end portion of the drive motor unit so as to define an air flow passage between the proximal end portion of the drive motor unit and an inner surface of the cooling sleeve. In one example, the pump assembly further includes a coupling operatively connecting the pump and the drive shaft, the coupling including an insulating element therein.

Abstract: A method of dispensing a brushable substance onto a surface comprises (1) with a cartridge positioned inside a sleeve between an inner tubular sleeve wall and an outer tubular sleeve wall, circumscribing the inner tubular sleeve wall, and also positioned between a push-lock pressure cap, hermetically coupled with the cartridge, and a valve, communicatively coupled with the cartridge, linearly moving an annular plunger, received between an inner tubular cartridge wall and an outer tubular cartridge wall, circumscribing the inner tubular cartridge wall, toward the valve along a first axis to urge the brushable substance from the cartridge, through the valve, and to a brush that is communicatively coupled to the valve; and (2) controlling flow of the brushable substance from the valve to the brush.
