In a case where in an information processing apparatus of setting one of plural printers where communication is possible, as a print output destination to make the set printer perform print output, it is determined whether or not a newly connected printer is present, and the printer is detected and is not set as the print output destination, the output destination is automatically changed to the printer connected by short-distance wireless by automatically changing the setting of the print output destination to the printer in which the detection is detected.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus which, when an error occurs during communication with a host computer, gives a higher priority to reconnection to the host computer connected at the time of occurrence of the error than to connection to another host computer. A CPU of the apparatus accepts processing requests from the host computers. When accepting a processing request from a host computer, the CPU causes the apparatus to connect to the host computer. If occurrence of an error is detected during communication with the host computer, the CPU controls the connection such that reconnection to the host computer connected at the time of occurrence of the error is given priority over connection to another host computer.

In an apparatus, object information and information on a transmission destination representing the transmission destination of image data are registered in correspondence with each other. An object in the image data is identified. The image data is transmitted to a transmission destination represented by information on a transmission destination corresponding to identified object information. The transmission status of the image data by a transmission unit is displayed on a display unit together with the image data.

An image processing apparatus which is equipped with card slots can cope with plural kinds of memory cards acting as media, and a recording apparatus does not occur a malfunction in its card reader due to a lack of a current to be supplied to the medium even when the plural media are respectively inserted in the card reader. To do so, when the media are initially inserted in the plural card slots, the slot in which the medium is first inserted is set to be available, and the remaining slots are set to be unavailable. Besides, power is not supplied to the slots which have been set to be unavailable.

An image capturing apparatus having a plurality of communication modes comprises an image capturing unit adapted to capture an object image and obtain image data, and a control unit adapted to control the image capturing apparatus, wherein the plurality of communication modes include a host mode in which the image capturing apparatus is able to communicate with a plurality of external devices and a client mode in which the image capturing apparatus is disable to simultaneously communicate with the plurality of external devices, and wherein the control unit is able to automatically switch the image capturing apparatus to the host mode after an image capturing instruction is applied to the image capturing unit.
