Abstract: An encoder outputs a first bit sequence having N bits. A mapper generates a first complex signal s1 and a second complex signal s2 with use of bit sequence having X+Y bits included in an input second bit sequence, where X indicates the number of bits used to generate the first complex signal s1 , and Y indicates the number of bits used to generate the second complex signal s2 . A bit length adjuster is provided after the encoder, and performs bit length adjustment on the first bit sequence such that the second bit sequence has a bit length that is a multiple of X+Y, and outputs the first bit sequence after the bit length adjustment as the second bit sequence. As a result, a problem between a codeword length of a block code and the number of bits necessary to perform mapping by a set of modulation schemes is solved.

Abstract: Reliability, in 5G and emerging 6G, is a continuing challenge due to signal fading, heavy interference, and phase noise, among others. The disclosed procedures show how to locate the most likely faulted message elements according to a deviant modulation, excessive amplitude or phase instability, and inconsistency between successive transmissions of the message. In addition, the receiver can rectify the message either by altering the faulted message elements to other modulation states, or by selectively merging two versions of the message according to signal quality. In either case, reliability is improved, range is extended, and time is saved.

Abstract: Techniques related to using an anticipatory NACK for a decoding failure prediction are disclosed. Some aspects of the disclosure relate to devices and methods for wireless communication including obtaining downlink control information (DCI) including scheduling information for a data transmission over one or more data channel resources. When a predictive channel model predicts a high probability of a decoding failure for the one or more data channel resources, based on the high probability of decoding failure, an anticipatory NACK may be transmitted, indicating an anticipated failure to properly decode the data transmission. Abstract: A repetition unit (212) performs a repetition for mapping a data signal and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) repeatedly at a symbol level over a plurality of subframes. A signal allocation unit (213) maps, in the a plurality of subframes, the repeated DMRS to symbols other than symbols corresponding to an SRS resource candidate, which is a candidate for a resource to which a sounding reference signal (SRS) to be used to measure an uplink received signal quality is to be mapped.
