Abstract:
A support unit is connected to a shaft of a main wheel and thus is always maintained in parallel to or at a predetermined angle to a road surface, independently of an inclination angle of a main body. Accordingly, an incline estimating unit regards an inclination angle θ3 being a value in an inclination sensor as being equal to an inclination angle θ2 of the road surface (or in a case where the support unit is inclined a predetermined angle to the road surface, an angle from θ3 to the predetermined angle is subtracted from or added to the crossing angle) and outputs the estimated inclination angle θ2 of the road surface to a target inclination angle determining unit.
Abstract:
Embodiments of crutches are disclosed. A crutch has a main body having a substantially vertical tubular member with a plurality of apertures formed therein; an angled portion extending upwardly from the substantially vertical tubular member; an arm rest support extending perpendicularly from the angled portion for receiving an arm rest; and a handle extending outwardly from the arm rest support. The crutch further includes a leg telescopically received into the substantially vertical tubular member, and a foot exchangably received by the leg.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a passive gravity assist flexion device, principally for knee joint flexibility; having such arrangement to provide appropriate content stable elevated support of the posterior intersection, concerning the femur and tibia of an impaired knee joint; whereby promoting gravity assist passive flexion towards gradual comfortable knee joint muscle stretching. The disclosed device arrangement comprised of a padded single knee posterior horizontal support bar, capable of desired lateral rotational movement, while firmly affixed mid-span atop a vertical linear traveling height adjustment threaded rod. Whereby adjustment rod thread engagement means establishes and maintains desired knee posterior horizontal support bar height position. Furthermore, the disclosed device utilizes a center base foundation arrangement providing a resolute vertical stable support device.
Abstract:
A nasal douche having a valve, container part and cap part, wherein the container part serves to receive irrigation liquid and carries cap part. The cap part has a nose attachment with an outlet opening for irrigation liquid connected fluidically to interior of container part via discharge channel, wherein nose attachment is intended to be attached to a nostril of the user. The container part or cap part is assigned a mouthpiece for controlling the valve, wherein the valve is closed in a rest position and flow of irrigation liquid out through the nose attachment is thus suppressed, and wherein the valve can be brought to an open position, under the action of respiratory air when the user blows into the mouthpiece, and irrigation liquid thus flows out through the nose attachment, wherein respiratory air or ambient air flows into the container part to allow the outward flow.
Abstract:
A medicinal healing booth system for treating a user with medicated steam features a booth. A side panel of the booth features a transparent or translucent top panel section from a panel midpoint to a roof panel. A base panel of the booth features raised grating. The system features a door located in the side panel of the booth. The system features a control system and a steam generation system having a water tank with a heating element, a medicine tank, and a steam distribution nozzle. The medicine tank is fluidly connected to steam piping having the steam distribution nozzle located on a terminating end. The system features a temperature regulation system having an infrared light, a vent, and an automated vent valve. The system features a sterilization system having an ultraviolet light. A seat is located on the booth base panel.
Abstract:
Your applicants, Gail B. Rehmert (formerly Dreybus) and Colby D. Rehmert desire to be granted a Utility Patent for the hereinafter described improvements and enhancements to her former U.S. Pat. No. 4,312,333, a Tactile Stimulating Mechanism, granted Jan. 26, 1982. Goal of device is to relax, soothe, and calm the body and reduce stress. This modified enhanced application, renamed Tactile Sensory Stimulator, is an improvement allowing the device to reduce stress, while able to adjust to a user's large or small body type while in horizontal position. This mechanism creates a relaxing and sensitive touch over user's body by three adjustable wand assemblies holding filaments changed in figure to include light plastic orbed bendable units which do not weigh over 1-2 ounces each. This configuration of filaments creates very gentle pressure as all strands move in a rotational, reversible 360 degree orbit over the user body.

Abstract:
An exoskeleton device includes a plurality of braces that are each attachable to a part of a user. A plurality of joints connects adjacent braces. Each joint is controllable to bend or unbend so as to cause the exoskeleton device to change between an erect configuration and a sitting configuration. At least one support column is extendible from a brace. A length of the support column is adjustable. A controller is configured to adjust the length of the support column in coordination with the bending or unbending of a joint to provide support for the exoskeleton device when in the sitting configuration.
Abstract:
The rims allow the central hub of a back roller to be elevated from the ground. Elevating the back roller allows the user to increase their flexibility as they bend their back over the central roller. A user can purchase one or a set of rims to interchange the back roller and rims to accommodate different stretching and exercises. The joining mechanism can be threaded coupling in one or both of the hubs or can be a telescoping connection with or without a spring-loaded pin in a hole. The rims can have ribs to allow an installer to grip the rim and twist the rim on an axle. The back roller can be fabricated with an internal thread where changeable rims can be threaded into the inner diameter of the back roller to change the amount of elevation.
Abstract:
A leg assembly includes a first leg member and second leg member each having side-to-side width that is greater at the top end than the bottom end and a tapered outer surface. The second leg member has top-to-bottom length different than the top-to-bottom length of the first leg member. The leg members are adapted to connect individually or in combination to a support system such that at least three leg heights are selectably provided. The side-to-side width of the top end of the second leg member is approximately equal to the side-to-side width of the bottom end of the first leg member such that when the top end of the second leg members is connected to the bottom end of the first leg member, the combined leg members have a generally continuously tapered outer surface.
Abstract:
A rehabilitation and walking assisting assembly includes a pair of plates each having an upper edge, a lower edge, a first lateral ledge and a second lateral edge. The plates have an inner surface and an outer surface. A plurality of straps is attached to and extends between the pair of plates. A plurality of legs defines a first set of legs and a second set of legs. The first set of the legs is attached to the outer surface of one of the plates and the second set of legs is attached to the outer surface of the other one of the plates. Each of the legs includes a lower end terminating with a wheel. The plates are positionable on opposite sides of a torso of a person such that the legs assist the person while walking.
