Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus (1) for treating skin, including: a body (2) including a casing (21, 22) forming a grippable region; electrical means for supplying power, arranged in said body; at least one treatment head (3); at least one light source (4); and at least one light guide (5) having a projection area (51) that is intended to receive the light emitted by the at least one light source (4) and to project at least one light beam intended for a region of skin. The at least one light guide (5) comprises a face opposite said projection area (51), the opposite face comprising distributing means intended to distribute the light over the projection area (51).
Abstract:
A therapeutic device for massaging, cleansing, or delivering of liquid substances has a variably configurable handle that is adapted to function with a plurality of head attachments. The handles may be swiveled relative to each other at various angled positions, or they may be detached to function as two, separate devices.
Abstract:
A device, and the use thereof, for imparting shearing force to superficial and deep fascial layers to improve soft tissue mobility and function. Embodiments of the invention include three general components: a strike head, a force transmitter and a patient interface. A strike force generated at or by the strike head is transmitted by the force transmitter (and normalized/modulated in the case of the force modulator version of the force transmitter) to the patient interface and thence to patient tissue.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a stimulation device (1) for erogenous zones, in particular for the clitoris (12), wherein the stimulation device (1) has the following: at least one pressure field generating arrangement (2) with at least one first chamber (3) and at least one second chamber (4) having at least one opening (42) for placing on a body part (11); at least one connection element (5) that connects the first chamber (3) to the second chamber (4); a drive unit (6) that varies the volume of the first chamber (3) such that a pressure field that serves for stimulation is generated via the connection element (5) in the second chamber (4); a control device (7) that activates the drive unit (6), and an appendage (140).
Abstract:
A self-administering massage device which provides a user the ability to massage and engage a variety of muscle groups without external aid. The device includes a track, a carriage, a locking mechanism, an interchangeable massage head, a first coupling link, a lockable hinge joint, a first quick lock-and-release mechanism. The track allows the interchangeable massage head to be positioned to a variety of height. The carriage is slidably engaged with the track and supports the interchangeable massage head. The locking mechanism is mechanically integrated into the slidable engagement of the carriage and the track in order to secure the carriage at the selected height. The interchangeable massage head is the component which applies the massage pressure. The lockable hinge joint and the coupling link removably couple the interchangeable massage head to the carriage. The lockable hinge joint allows for the interchangeable massage head to be positioned at an angled orientation.
Abstract:
A system and method for aiding in the proper placement of ECG electrodes and other resuscitation parameters. The system includes motion sensors disposed on the ECG electrodes, and a defibrillator control system operable to interpret motion signals from the motions sensors to determine that an electrode is in motion, and thus being handled by rescuer setting up the system for use, and, based on this determination, prompt the rescuer to place the electrode in its intended location on the body of the patient. The control system may also be operable to determine relative motion and/orientation of the motion sensors and control resuscitation based on the relative motion and/orientation of the motion sensors
Abstract:
A massage device which allows a user to easily and effectively self-administer a neck and/or shoulder massage. The device includes a first crossbar, a first leg assembly, and a second leg assembly. The first crossbar acts as the engagement element. The first leg assembly and the second leg assembly each include a handle, a support bar, and a rocker runner. The handle is collinearly and adjacently connected to the support bar. The rocker runner is adjacently connected to the support bar, opposite the handle, and allows for a rocking motion. The support bar positions and holds the first crossbar and acts as the load-bearing element. The support bar of the first leg assembly is adjacently and perpendicularly connected to the first crossbar. The support bar of the second leg assembly is adjacently and perpendicularly connected to the first crossbar, opposite the support bar of the first leg assembly.
Abstract:
A vibration device for generating vibration using sound pressure includes a cone paper damper generating vibration and a bobbin guiding a voice coil to allow the same to be stably provided. A connection member and a vibration probe are coupled at the center of the upper surface of the cone paper damper and the bobbin. The vibration device directly receives the vibration, which is generated from the cone paper damper, and transmits the vibration to the vibration probe. In addition, a human-body stimulation apparatus includes the vibration device having a cone paper damper for generating vibration and a bobbin for guiding a voice coil to allow the voice coil to be stably provided. The human-body stimulation apparatus receives a sound source using various forms of interfaces for storing or providing the sound source.
Abstract:
A massage device is configured to apply pressure to a human user's back, shoulders or any distant part of the musculo-skeletal system, be operated with a single arm and attaches to the user's forearm to apply pin-point or various pressure to target muscles- The massage device includes an arm plate that is configured to cover a forearm and a wrist of a human user. A hand grip is mechanically coupled to the arm plate and configured to accommodate the gripping of human fingers. A wrist bar is attached to the arm plate. A J-bar may be attached to the wrist bar. A tip is attached to the J-bar or directly to the short wrist bar. The tip is configured to provide variant pressure to the human user's back or shoulders or distal body part. Thereby duplicating mechanical pressure applied by a trained bodyworker by the untrained self at a much more reasonable price.
Abstract:
An applicator for use in treating a portion of skin includes an applicator tip that has an end configured to contact the portion of skin, a sonic source mechanically coupled to the applicator tip, a heat source thermally coupled to an end of the applicator tip, and a controller. The applicator tip includes a thermally-conductive material. During operation of the applicator, the controller controls operation of the sonic source to impart mechanical movements to the applicator tip at a sonic frequency and controls operation of the heat source to transfer heat to the end of the applicator tip via the thermally-conductive material of the applicator tip.
