Abstract: A mobile terminal includes a wireless communication unit; a camera; a display; an ultrasound transmission unit; and a controller configured to control the wireless communication unit, the camera, the display, and the ultrasound transmission unit. The mobile terminal is configured to: transmit a first detection prepare request signal to allow a plurality of external devices located within a control area to switch to a prepare state; acquire an image including at least one of the plurality of external devices that switches to the prepare state; selectively transmit an ultrasound signal to the at least one of the plurality of external devices included in the image; receive associated control information from each of the at least one of the plurality of external devices; and display a graphic image related to the associated control information from each of the at least one of the plurality of external devices.

The method may include determining product information associated with the one or more devices, whereby the product information includes at least one of a type, a model number, and a brand. The method may include determining one or more applications associated with the one or more devices based on the product information, whereby the one or more applications allow for operation of the one or more devices. The method may include retrieving the one or more applications. The method may include determining that the computer is oriented toward a first device of the one or more devices. The method may include displaying a first graphical user interface corresponding to a first application of the one or more applications that allows for operation of the first device.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a device control method, which comprises capturing, by a portable device, a first image of a specific area containing a number of electronic devices connected to a communication network; transmitting a connection signal to a selected electronic device on a device list containing all the electronic devices connected to a communication network; determining whether the selected electronic device is in the first image captured based on whether a response has been received from the selected electronic device; identifying the selected electronic device on the device list and the relative position of the selected electronic device on the first image captured upon determined that the selected electronic device is in the first image; and continuing the device identification process until all the connected electronic devices on the device list has been verified, to identify the relative positions of all electronic devices contained in the first image.

Abstract: A keycode data structure includes a device type byte, a set of keycodes, system code information, a system data byte, a protocol pointer that points to a protocol table and a number of flagbytes that are used to index a particular key among the keycodes. The keycode data structure also contains a plurality of keycode data structure pointers (KDSPs). Keycode data structures are linked together using KDSPs. A special value in the keycode data structure is used to indicate that the keycode data structure contains multiple KDSPs. The number of pointers is stored in a particular location of the keycode data structure.

Abstract: Disclosed is a display apparatus capable of receiving a remote control signal from a remote controller for a different apparatus and outputting a converted remote control signal and a control method thereof, the display apparatus including: a display configured to display an image; a communicator comprising communication circuitry; a signal receiver configured to receive a remote control signal from among a plurality of remote controllers respectively corresponding to a plurality of external apparatuses; and a controller configured to perform a function corresponding to an image displayed on the display in response to a command included in the received remote control signal, or to control the communicator to transmit the command to an external apparatus selected corresponding to the image displayed on the display from among the plurality of external apparatuses. When the broadcast request key is triggered, the first processing unit sends out a broadcast request signal through the first wireless communication unit. When the second processing unit receives the broadcast request signal through the second wireless communication unit, the second processing unit controls the display unit to display the identification code. When the input keys are operated to input the identification code of the display device, the remote controller and the display device are paired with each other.
