Abstract:
An elongate hand-held printer device for printing on a medium when a user moves said device over the medium. The device includes an upper and a lower moulding configured to complementarily receive each other to define a housing, said housing defining an ink ejection slot along, and a printhead module housed in the housing. The module has a plurality of micro-electromechanical ejection devices for operatively ejecting ink via the ink ejection slot. The device also includes an ink supply cartridge housed in the housing, the cartridge for supplying the printhead module with ink, as well as an optical encoder wheel to facilitate regulation of a printing rate of the printhead module as the device is moved along the medium.
Abstract:
An electronic still camera for capturing images to be transferred to at least one e-mail address is disclosed. The electronic still camera includes an image sensor for capturing a plurality of images of scenes and for producing image signals representative of the corresponding scenes; an analog-to-digital converter for digitizing the image signals to produce digital images; and a removable memory card for storing a plurality of digital image files corresponding to the digital images. The electronic still camera also includes an internal memory for storing at least one digital image to be displayed and a plurality of e-mail addresses; a processor for controlling the transfer of the digital images from the removable memory card to the internal memory and for producing a utilization file; and a display coupled to the internal memory for displaying at least one digital image. The electronic still camera further includes a user interface for selecting at least one e-mail address and for scrolling through the plurality of digital images stored on the removable memory card in order to display and select particular digital images to be transferred to the selected at least one e-mail address, wherein the utilization file includes the at least one selected e-mail address and the name of at least one digital image file to be transferred to the at least one selected e-mail address and the processor stores the utilization file on the removable memory card separate from the digital image files.
Abstract:
A printing system of the present invention is provided with an information communication section which transmits service information, which is information about services provided by the printing terminal, to the communication terminal; and when receiving the service information from the information communication section, the communication terminal displays the service information. According to the printing system of the present invention, since the service information is transmitted from the information communication section to a user's communication terminal, and the service information is displayed on the user's communication terminal of the user, it is possible to easily provide the user with contents of services different from store to store.
Abstract:
An information processing system, such as a camera system, includes a radio communication system and an information appliance (such as a camera) communicable with the radio communication system within a predetermined distance. The information appliance includes an image pickup for obtaining image data by photographing a subject, a storing part for storing information peculiar to a user of the information appliance, a radio communication part for transmitting a predetermined radio signal and for reading information from the radio communication system, and an authorization part for authorizing the user by collating information from the radio communication system read at the radio communication part with stored information peculiar to the user. The radio communication system includes storage for storing predetermined information and a transmission part for receiving a radio signal generated at the information appliance and for transmitting the stored predetermined signal as a radio signal.
Abstract:
An information apparatus with access to content is managed by establishing a communication channel between the information apparatus and an output device and receiving over the communication channel an output device profile associated with the output device. The information apparatus obtains one or more image attributes associated with the output device and conforms at least part of the content into one or more output images with the image attributes. The information apparatus generates an output data that includes the output images and is associated with the output device, and delivers the output data to the output device for rendering.

Abstract:
A network configuration file is generated at a host computer and downloaded to a digital camera. This file contains instruction information for communicating with a selected destination via a communications interface. The digital camera includes a “send” button or LCD icon which allows the user to easily transmit one or more images via a wired or wireless communications interface to a desired destination, which among other possibilities may be an Internet Service Provider or a digital photofinishing center. When the user selects this option, the communications port settings, user account specifics, and destination connection commands are read from the network configuration file on the removable memory card. Examples of these settings include serial port baud rate, parity, and stop bits, as well as account name and password.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an image recording apparatus which has a pack compartment to be loaded with an instant film pack containing multiple instant film sheets stacked together and records images on the instant film sheets contained in the instant film pack loaded into the pack compartment while transporting the instant film sheets. The pack compartment has receiving surfaces projecting into the pack compartment and support the instant film pack loaded into the pack compartment. The receiving surfaces support the instant film pack while keeping the instant film pack tilted by making the respective amounts of projection thereof mutually different.
