Abstract:
A processing apparatus includes a storage unit, a processor, and a screen display. The storage unit stores data input to an input unit in a memory area associated with the input unit. The processor executes a process associated with the memory area on the data stored in the memory area. The screen display displays a settings screen on which a first screen component and a second screen component are displayed in list form. The first screen component is a screen component for selecting an input unit to be associated with a memory area. The second screen component is a screen component for configuring a setting for a process to be associated with the memory area.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: a first memory for temporarily storing therein image data output to an image forming unit; a data processing processor for reading the image data; a second memory for temporarily storing therein the image data; and a main processor for causing the data processing processor to sequentially read the image data, wherein the data processing processor includes: data transfer units; a transfer control unit; and a table, the main processor sets a start address and a size and instructs the transfer control unit to activate the data transfer units, the transfer control unit divides a size of image data and sets a start address and a size of divided image data, the data transfer units read corresponding image data and output it to the second memory, and the transfer control unit subsequently controls the data transfer units and notifies the transfer completion to the main processor.
Abstract:
In a control method for a processing apparatus connected to an image reading apparatus, in a case where the processing apparatus receives a cancellation instruction while the image reading apparatus performs a reading step, the processing apparatus causes the image reading apparatus to terminate the reading step and deletes image data of a page being read, and in a case where the processing apparatus receives a cancellation instruction after the image reading apparatus has performed the reading step, the processing apparatus performs controlling processing for deleting image data that has been acquired in the last reading step and has yet to be stored.
Abstract:
According to an embodiment, an image processing apparatus has a monitoring unit, and an arbitration unit. The monitoring unit monitors a data amount in a first transfer buffer of a first image processing unit, and a data amount in a second transfer buffer of a second image processing unit. The arbitration unit arbitrates, so that when the data amount in the first transfer buffer becomes not less than a predetermined first threshold value, the number of times of data transfer from the first transfer buffer to a main memory is increased. Furthermore the arbitration unit arbitrates, so that when the data amount in the second transfer buffer becomes not more than a predetermined second threshold value, the number of times of data transfer from the main memory to the second transfer buffer is increased.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus may include a scanner configured to read a document, a feeder configured to feed a sheet, a printer configured to print an image on the sheet, a processor, and memory storing instructions. The instructions, when executed by the processor, may cause the image forming apparatus to control the scanner to read the document to generate read data, determine whether the read data provides an image while the scanner is reading the document, and control the feeder to start feeding the sheet to the printer in response to determining that the read data provides the image. Determining whether the read data provides the image may include determining whether a substantially blank sheet would be printed based on the read data.
Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus which is improved in user friendliness for a user to print a document received by facsimile communication and is capable of performing division printing of the document. A sheet size of sheets on which the received document is to be printed is determined. In a preview process, when a document to be printed according to a determined sheet size is to be divided so as to be printed on a plurality of sheets, a preview image of the document in which a position where the document is to be divided is indicated is displayed on a display section. Further, in the preview process, the preview image is displayed on the display section by changing the position where the document is to be divided according to designation of the sheet size by a user.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an image reading portion, an image processing portion, a storage portion, a storage selector portion, an image forming portion, and a control portion. The storage portion includes a first storage portion and a second storage portion with greater vibration resistance than the first storage portion, and stores image data scanned by the image reading portion and processed by the image processing portion. The storage selector portion selects one of the first storage portion and the second storage portion based on the strength of mechanical vibrations during an operation of the apparatus, and a data size of the image data. The control portion causes the image data to be stored in the storage portion selected by the storage selector portion, and controls the image forming portion to read the stored image data and form an image.
Abstract:
An image scanning apparatus of this disclosure includes: a scanner unit which generates image data by image scanning and outputs it; a memory; a data processing unit which (a1) performs a predetermined process for either the image data outputted by the scanner unit or the image data for which a preprocess has been performed, (a2) writes the processed image data into a predetermined memory area in the memory in turn, and (a3) returns a writing position of the image data to a top of the memory area and overwrite the image data if the writing position of the image data reaches an end of the memory area; and a control unit which (b1) allocates the memory area in the memory and (b2) measures a shortage amount of the memory area on the basis of a size of an area where the image data has been overwritten.
Abstract:
An image forming method reads a document by a scanner that is a device, provides image data corresponding to a document image, forms an image corresponding to the image data provided from the scanner by a printer that is a device, and detects operating errors of the scanner and the printer. Further, when any operating error is detected, the image forming method stops the operation of the device generating the error and operates the device not generating the error.
Abstract:
An elongate hand-held printer device includes an upper and a lower moulding configured to receive each other in a complementary fashion to define a housing, said housing defining an ink ejection slot; a printhead module housed in the housing, the module having a plurality of micro-electromechanical ejection devices configured to eject ink via the ink ejection slot;media slides protruding from each of the upper and lower mouldings, the media slides configured to elevate the printer device from a medium and prevent interference between the printhead module and ink ejected from the micro-electromechanical ejection devices; and a capping device coupled externally to a major face of the upper molding. The capping device includes a finger pad provided on an actuation arm of the capping device, the finger pad for facilitating pivoting of the capping device away from a print face of the printhead module.
