Abstract:
A spa tub includes a control system that operates with a water temperature modification system to stabilize the spa water at a set temperature. In a preferred embodiment, the water temperature modification system is a heat pump. The stabilized temperature provides safety to users of the spa.
Abstract:
A spa is retrofit for use with a heat pump for both heating and cooling the water contained in the spa tub. The heat pump uses the existing water pump of the hydrotherapy system to circulate the water through the heat exchanger of the heat pump.
Abstract:
A massaging system that applies massaging pressure to multiple points on the body and adjusts to differently sized users. In one implementation, the system includes a carrier having two separated compartments for holding essentially spherical masses, and a flexible member positioned between the separated compartments and connecting same, wherein at least the flexible member is fabricated of a stretchable material.
Abstract:
The present invention presents a thorny mosaic-like, fluid pressurized, massaging article characterized by a planar mosaic matrix; said matrix comprising at least one multiple typical arrangement, whereat a massaging thistle is surrounded by a plurality of either a fluid or gas conduits, in the manner while the fluid pressure is decreased in at least one conduit, the pressure in at least one other adjacent conduit is increased so the central massaging thistle is forced to incline either towards said pressurized or depressurized conduit and vice versa. The present invention also presents a massager useful for massaging the body comprising a flexible flat liquid container; wherein said liquid are adapted to flow repetitively inside said container in a predetermined course; and a plurality of massaging member comprising a proximal finger-like end and a distal flag-like end, wherein said proximal end is located outside said container and further wherein said distal end is located inside said container so a direct liquid-communication is provided between said flag-like end and at least a portion of the liquid of said container.
Abstract:
A muscle stretching and spine decompressing apparatus including a base frame (20), a flexible sheet (12) attached to the top of the base frame (20) for supporting the body of a user, and a motorized actuation means (16) for bending the flexible sheet (12) from a substantially flat position to a substantial arc. The motor (18) includes a main shaft (30) connected at each end (30e) to counter grooved helix pulleys (46). As the motor (18) turns the main shaft (30), the counter grooved helix pulleys (46) wind up cable (48) attached to the ends (12a, 12b) of the flexible sheet (12), thereby drawing the flexible sheet ends (12a, 12b) inward to cause the flexible sheet (12) to bend. The motor control system (92) provides for automatic or manual control of the arc of flexible sheet (12).
Abstract:
A manual application of a topical genital sensitizing compound combination consisting of L-arginine and a cooling agent comprised of Menthol and Icariin, a herbal product produced from the Epimedium genius of the Berberidaceal family of plants, wherein the combination is applicable manually to the genitalia.
Abstract:
A therapeutic device having a relatively stiff and/or inflexible outer shell with a substantially ellipsoid shape, a plurality of protuberances extending outwardly from the outer shell, and a central core that is completely or substantially filled with a substance capable of being cooled or heated, such substance also capable of retaining cold or heat for an extended period of time.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for applying external counterpulsation to a patient, including detecting a blood-flow impedance signal, self-adaptive filter processing the detected blood-flow impedance signal, and adjusting inflation of an inflatable member based on the self-adaptive filter processing in order to optimize counterpulsation timing. A computer processes the signals and controls a fluid distribution device to distribute compressed fluid to a plurality of inflatable members based on said processed signals.
Abstract:
The present invention comprises a method and apparatus such as a hand-manipulable, clitoral stimulant-applying applicator for use to apply a clitoral stimulating compound to the clitoral area of the human female. A reservoir in the apparatus is arranged for containment of a clitoral stimulating compound, with a clitoral stimulating compound in said reservoir. A removable cover is arranged on the reservoir to expose the compound to permit the compound to be applied topically.
Abstract:
A system and method are provided for self-application of a variety of face and body treatments. Specifically, the system includes a power-and-control console and a light-weight portable device having a plurality of spouts, designed for different portions of the body, and comprising different features. The different features are adapted for different modes of treatment, such as suction, macro-massage treatment, lower-chin firming treatment, breast firming treatment, warming light treatment, infrared light treatment, UV light treatment, LLLT, ultrasound treatment, pulsating magnetic field treatment, constant magnetic field treatment, electrostimulation treatment, cooling-diode treatment, warming-diode treatment, cooling-warming-diode treatment, mechanical epilation, photoepilation, and air blowing. Additionally, each spout includes at least two, and preferably three or more features, for applying different modes of treatment, in tandem or in sequence, in accordance with predetermined schedules. Furthermore, the system may include additional face and body treating devices, such as a face-and-body-cleaning-moisturizing-and-massaging device, hair and nail dryers, and an airbrush. Moreover, the vacuum source of the system may be reversed, for operating as a compressor, in conjunction with the hair and nail dryers and the airbrush. Alternatively, the exhaust of the vacuum source may be used as a compressor. Moreover, the system may further include a compressor to be used in conjunction with the hair and nail dryers, and the airbrush. Additionally, the system may include a sandblasting device for face and body treatment, devices for oxygen, ozone, steam, gentle lymphatic massage, and cupping treatments, and an erection massage device. The system may be provided in male and female versions, as well a in versions for the home and for clinics.
