Abstract:
The present invention provides a walking assist device including a seat member (1) where a user (P) sits astride; and a support member (2L, 2R) which is provided at a bottom side of the seat member (1); wherein the walking assist device includes a connection portion (106) which connects the seat member (1) to the support member (2L, 2R) in such a way that the seat member (1) is able to swing laterally around a spindle (106a) located at a middle portion of the anteroposterior width of the seat member (1) which the user (P) contacts. Therefore, the resistance force from the seat portion that the user (P) is subject to when the user (P) swings the hip to walk is reduced, thereby improving the usability of the walking assist device.
Abstract:
A walking assist device is equipped with a load transmit portion, a foot attachment portion fitted to a foot of a user, and a leg link provided between the load transmit portion and the foot attachment portion. The foot attachment portion is equipped with a connecting member connected to the lower end of the leg link at a position forward of an ankle of the user while having at least a degree of rotational freedom around an axis line in a horizontal direction seen from front, and the connecting member is prevented from wobbling back and forth from the change in the direction of the load transmitted from the leg link. The foot attachment portion is equipped with the footplate member having a rigid plate capable of being stepped on by the foot of the user at outside an acting range in a sagittal plane of the load transmitted from the leg link to the connecting member. The connecting member is coupled to the footplate member so as to limit the rotation with respect to the footplate member round the axis line in the horizontal direction as seen from front.
Abstract:
A therapeutic device includes a power unit for cyclically moving a therapeutic head unit at a frequency selected to cause compression wave energy to propagate through body tissue to a target scar tissue structure. The therapeutic head unit includes a plurality of differently shaped therapeutic heads to be pressed against the body surface.
Abstract:
A system has been disclosed which allows improved sexual interaction between two individuals who are in separate locations or between one user and computer game software. One component of the system measures the displacement of a fluid that occurs when an object is inserted into an orifice to create digital data, which data can be transmitted to a remote location or used in software on the local computer. Another component of the system responds to a data signal that is received from a remote location or generated on the local computer and generates thrusting movement of a phallic object which movement is related to said data signal.
Abstract:
A reversibly slide-swingable balance-training apparatus includes a base unit, a transmission unit mounted in the base unit and providing a movement-constraining eccentric shaft and a power-maintaining rotary member for rotating the movement-constraining eccentric shaft continuously, one or a pair of linkages each having a first link pivotally connected to the movement-constraining eccentric shaft of the transmission unit, a second link pivotally coupled between the first link and the base unit and a third link pivotally connected to the second link, and a platform pivotally connected to the first link and third link of each linkage. Subject to the oscillation motion of the links of the linkage in matching with the postures of the user and the functioning of the movement-constraining eccentric shaft and the continuation of the energy of the power-maintaining rotary member, the platform is reversibly slide-swinging for best balance training.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a portable device for enhancing circulation in a limb comprising at least one strap for encircling the limb, a motor and a mechanism driven by said motor for intermittently actuating a first transition from a relaxed state to a strained state of the strap and a second transition from the strained state to the relaxed state. The mechanism includes at least one energy storing element operatively disposed between the motor and the strap and at least one energy releasing mechanism coupling between the energy storing element and the strap. The energy releasing mechanism enables fast release of energy stored in said storing element and the use of the energy so released to effectuate at least one abrupt transition between said relaxed and strained states.
Abstract:
In a walking assist device having leg links each connected to a support member through a first joint and having a first link and second link connected to the first link through a second joint, and actuators to be operated to displace the first and second links relative to each other to produce assist forces that assist part of user's body weight to assist the user to walk, it is configured such that a forward protruding amount of the second joint to be protruded with change of an angle between the first and second links about the second joint is changed. With this, it becomes possible to decrease the forward protruding amount to be protruded from the trunk of the user with change of the angle about the second joint, thereby decreasing the inertia force about the vertical axis, while mitigating the unnatural impression of the appearance.
Abstract:
A foot water-spouting device includes a foot-front water spouting section for spouting water toward the front side of a user's foot and a water-spouting section direction moving mechanism for reciprocating the destination of water spouting of the foot-front water spouting section along a longitudinal direction of the foot. A plurality of spouts may be arranged side-by-side in the foot instep width direction for each of the right and left feet. The pressure of water spouting at a water arrival point may be changed based on or the water spouting amount may be changed based on movement of the water arrival point.
Abstract:
Second joints (7, 7) are provided in positions where a seating unit (1) is restrained from swinging relative to leg links (3, 3) due to a force acting on the seating unit (1) from upper limb links (5, 5) through the intermediary of the second joints (7, 7). A motion not intended by a user can be restrained from being generated due to a force acting from the upper limb links (5, 5) provided in the upper limbs.
