Abstract:
A compound having formula (I) wherein R1 and R2 independently represent C1-C6 alkyl; R3 is C1-C6 alkyl; R4 is C1-C18 alkyl or C4-C18 heteroalkyl; m is zero, one, two or three; n is one, two or three; and j, k, p, q, r and s independently are zero, one or two; provided that at least one of j, k, p, q, r and s is not zero.
Abstract:
Disclosed are additive compositions for superior quality diesel and biodiesel fuels for improving the lacquering resistance of fuels, in particular those intended for engines provided with Euro 4 to Euro 6 fuel injection systems. The additive compositions include at least one antioxidant of hindered phenol type and at least one metal passivator.
Abstract:
Compositions and methods for reducing stress corrosion cracking in steel vessels used for storing and/or transporting ethanol-containing fluids. Additives including oxygen scavengers and film-forming additives can be employed together in such ethanol-containing fluids (e.g., fuel grade ethanol) to mitigate stress corrosion cracking in steel vessels, such as pipelines, storage tanks, rail cars, and/or tanker trucks.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a fuel mixture that contains combustible solid powder and produced by mixing combustible solid powder and liquid fuel. It is in a simple way to make use of renewable biomass materials instead of fossil fuel for driving internal combustion engine to provide powder, in favor of saving fossil fuel resource. And an engine can use the fuel mixture.
Abstract:
The invention provides a composition comprising a dispersion comprising (a) an inorganic metal compound, (b) a quaternary salt surfactant and (c) an organic medium, wherein the metal compounds are uniformly dispersed in the organic medium. The invention also provides fuel compositions comprising said dispersion and methods of operating internal combustion engines and open flame burners utilizing said dispersion.
Abstract:
Fuel compositions are provided which comprise synergistic combinations of a biodiesel or biodiesel blend, an antioxidant comprising a mixture of at least one diphenol and at least one sterically hindered phenol, and a cetane improver. The fuel compositions described herein exhibit a unique combination of improved oxidation stability and enhanced ignition quality.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a fuel oil composition comprising stabilized Renewable Fuel feed stocks or the blends of Petroleum based fuels with such Renewable Fuels. Also described herein are additive compositions for increasing stability of Renewable Fuel feed stocks or the blends of Petroleum based fuels with such Renewable Fuels.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a liquid composition comprising a major amount of an oil and a minor amount of an additive composition, wherein the additive composition comprises BHQ and N,N′-disalicylidene propylene diamine, and wherein at least 2% by weight of the oil is derived from a plant or animal material. The invention also relates to a method of preventing or retarding the oxidation of the liquid composition and the use of the additive to prevent or retard the oxidation of the liquid composition.
Abstract:
Disclosed are stabilized biodiesel fuel compositions, which compositions comprise a biodiesel fuel, for example the methyl esters of the fatty acids of rapeseed or soy oil, and one or more additives selected from the group consisting of the 3-arylbenzofuranones and the hindered amine light stabilizers, and optionally, one or more hindered phenolic antioxidants.
