An image processing apparatus connected to a Web server and including a Web browser for displaying an operation screen provided by the Web server and a processing unit that, when requested to execute image processing by the Web server based on access from the Web browser, executes the requested image processing, where it is determined, depending on a destination of access by the Web browser, whether or not to supply information about the image processing apparatus to the destination of access, and if it is determined that the information about the image processing apparatus should be supplied, the information about the image processing apparatus is supplied to the destination of access made by the Web browser.

An image processing system including an image processing apparatus and an information processing device. The information processing device includes a display controller to control displaying a screen on a display in accordance with user operation involving transition of the displayed screen and an operational information transmitter to transfer operational information on the user operation involving the transition of the displayed screen. The image processing apparatus includes an image processing apparatus screen transition processor to perform transition of screen on the image processing apparatus in accordance with receiving the operational information. The display controller acquires status on transitioning screen of the image processing apparatus in accordance with the user operation instructing to transition to a home screen as a starting point of the user operation and gets the screen displayed on the display back to status before the transition if the screen on the image processing apparatus is untransitionable.

An image processing apparatus is provided that is capable of displaying a customized screen without requiring direct input operations to the image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus (for example, a multi-function peripheral, or MFP) is communicably connected to an information processing apparatus (for example, a personal computer, or PC) and includes a displaying portion. The MFP acquires user information related to a login user who logs in to the PC, authenticates based on the acquired user information to determine whether the login user is a usage permitted user who is permitted to use the MFP, and displays a customized screen corresponding to the login user on the displaying portion of the MFP when the login user is authenticated as the usage permitted user.
