Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the precipitation of a solid material, where the method comprises: providing an aqueous metal ion solution, said metal ion solution comprising TiOSO4 and metal ions of a metal M, where M is one or more of the elements: Mg, Co, Cu, Ni, Mn, Fe; providing an aqueous carbonate solution; and mixing said aqueous metal ion solution and said aqueous carbonate solution thereby providing a solid material comprising titanium and a metal carbonate comprising said metal(s) M, where the titanium is homogeneously distributed within the solid material. The invention also relates to a solid material, a method of preparing a positive electrode material for a secondary battery from the solid material and the use of the solid material as a precursor for the preparation of a positive electrode material for a secondary battery.

Abstract: A reactor system for aromatization of higher hydrocarbons within a given temperature range T upon bringing a reactant stream including higher hydrocarbons into contact with a catalytic mixture. The reactor system includes a reactor unit arranged to accommodate a catalytic mixture. The catalytic mixture includes a catalyst material and a ferromagnetic material. The catalyst material is arranged to catalyze the aromatization of higher hydrocarbons. The ferromagnetic material is ferromagnetic at least at temperatures up to an upper limit of the given temperature range T, where the temperature range T is the range from between about 400° C. and about 700° C. or a subrange thereof. The reactor system also includes an induction coil arranged to be powered by a power source supplying alternating current, whereby the ferromagnetic material is heated to a temperature within the temperature range T by means of an alternating magnetic field.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for removal of an aerosol, comprising the steps of directing a process gas comprising an aerosol to contact an inertial demister providing a first demisted process gas, and directing the first demisted process gas to contact a coalescing demister providing a second demisted process gas, characterized in said first inertial demister being more open than said coalescing demister, where more open is defined as having a higher void fraction or a lower density with the associated benefit of such a process providing an efficient removal of a large volume of liquid from the inertial demister, while avoiding flooding of the demister system. It further relates to a process plant for sulfuric acid production employing such a pair of demisters.

Abstract: In a process for steam reforming of oxygenates, especially at low steam-to-carbon (S/C) ratios, a feed gas containing oxygenates, such as ethanol, is converted into syngas over a ternary carbide catalyst. Then the reformed gas is either transformed into desired chemicals or mixed into the feed stream to the reformer in a plant, such as an ammonia or methanol plant. The preferred ternary carbide is nickel zinc carbide.
