Abstract:
The invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, particularly for producing LCD displays, comprising two surfaces while also being provided with at least one support having two supporting surfaces and a pressure-sensitive layer on each of the two supporting surfaces. The invention is characterized in that at least one of the two surfaces of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape has silvery reflective properties.
Abstract:
A reinforcing tape for imbedding in a joint compound, has reinforcing yarns defining openings for passage of the joint compound, wherein; the openings are bounded by the yarns; the yarns are provided with one or more coatings adding tensile strength and resistance to pull out of the yarns from the joint compound.
Abstract:
A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or film obtained by curing a UV-curable pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing a UV-curable polymer or oligomer, wherein the UV curing is controlled to give a higher degree of cure to one surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or film than that on the opposite surface and thereby the pressure-sensitive adhesive property is suppressed on the one surface and maintained on the opposite surface.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet having a light-reflective property and/or a light-shielding property, which comprises a base material and at least one pressure-sensitive adhesive layer disposed on at least one surface of the base material, in which the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is formed by an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing an acrylic polymer (a) and a low-molecular weight polymer component (b) which contains, as a principal monomer component, an ethylenic unsaturated monomer having a glass transition temperature of from 60 to 190° C. when it is formed into a homopolymer and having a cyclic structure within the molecule thereof, and which has a weight-average molecular weight equal to or higher than 3,000 but lower than 20,000; in which the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a gel fraction of from 51 to 75 wt % and a temperature, at a maximum of loss tangent (tan δ), of from −14 to 25° C.; and in which the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet has a reflectance of 60% or higher on at least one surface thereof and/or a transmittance of 0.3% or lower.
Abstract:
A double coated pressure sensitive adhesive tape comprising pressure sensitive adhesive layers which comprise an acrylic ester-based copolymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 700,00 or greater and a content of a butyl acrylate unit of 90% by mass or greater and 40 to 60% by mass of a tackifier as main components and are disposed on both faces of a core material, wherein the thickness of the entire tape including the core material and the adhesive layers is 30 μm or smaller, and the thickness of the adhesive layer on each face is 2 to 10 μm. The tape is transparent and thin, is advantageously used for fixing members of portable terminals such as portable telephones and PDA and thin film displays, laminating substrates in optical disks and fixing polarizing plates and exhibits excellent adhesive strength and holding power at high temperatures.
Abstract:
A substrate-less double face adhesive tape comprises a sticky layer set having a first sticky layer, a second sticky layer and a third sticky layer; and the adhesions of the first sticky layer and third sticky layer being stronger than that of the second sticky layer; a first separable paper adhered upon an upper surface of the first sticky layer; and a second separable paper adhered upon a lower surface of the third sticky layer. The first sticky layer and third sticky layer are made from material selected from water acrylic glue, PU resin, and PU-acrylic glue and the second sticky layer is made of lower adhesion water-solvable glue.
Abstract:
A laminate construction for splicing textile materials together comprising a first layer of heat activated adhesive having a melting point T1 and a second layer of heat activated material having a melting point T2. A support layer is located between the first layer and the second layer, and the support layer has a melting point T3 which is higher than T1 and T2.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a bilayer pressure-sensitive adhesive. Provision is made for the bilayer pressure-sensitive adhesive to comprise an apolar layer and a polar layer, the apolar layer and the polar layer each comprising a polyacrylate pressure-sensitive adhesive having a static glass transition temperature of not more than +15° C., and the surface energy of the apolar layer differing from the surface energy of the polar layer by at least 5 mN/m.
Abstract:
The invention provides pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) coated articles, including tapes and transfer coatings, having microstructured surfaces and methods of making pressure-sensitive adhesive articles bearing such microstructured surfaces. The performance properties of the pressure-sensitive adhesive articles can be tailored by independently varying the microstructure and the rheological properties of the pressure-sensitive adhesive.
