Abstract: Provided is a rubber member that can, when used in a rubber article such as a tire, improve the on-ice performance of the rubber article. A first rubber member comprises a water thickening material, wherein a plurality of minute recesses are formed on a surface of the rubber member, the water thickening material is provided on an inner surface of one or more minute recesses of the plurality of minute recesses, an average coverage of the water thickening material on the inner surface of the one or more minute recesses is 10% or more, and the water thickening material satisfies a condition that, when an aqueous dispersion is prepared with a concentration of the water thickening material being 23 mass %, a viscosity of the aqueous dispersion at 25° C. and any shearing velocity of 0.01/s to 0.1/s measured by a cone-plate viscometer is 20 Pa·s or more.

Abstract: Silver nanowires having a thin and long shape that exhibit excellent dispersibility in an aqueous solvent having an alcohol added thereto are provided by silver nanowires having an average diameter of 50 nm or less and an average length of 10 μm or more, covered with a copolymer of a maleimide-based monomer and vinylpyrrolidone. The silver nanowires can be produced by a method for producing silver nanowires, containing reductively depositing silver in a wire form in an alcohol solvent having dissolved therein a silver compound, the deposition being performed in the solvent having dissolved therein a copolymer of a maleimide-based monomer and vinylpyrrolidone.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a valve member for a dispenser valve for foam products, and in particular for a dispenser valve for polyurethane foam container, comprising a valve member that is moveable relative to a sealing. It also relates to such a dispenser valve and to a foam container.In order to provide alternative materials for valve members, it is proposed according to the invention that the valve member is made of plastic material filled with basalt particles in an amount between 1% and 60% by weight.It has been surprisingly found that valve members made of plastic filled with basalt particles in these amounts show improved properties, such as strength and abrasion rates, compared to non-filled plastics and compared to glass-filled plastics.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a flooring material including: a plasticizer; fibers comprising at least one type of inorganic fibers or at least one type of organic fibers; and a thermoplastic resin. The fibers have an alignment. In addition, a method for manufacturing a flooring material is also disclosed. The method includes preparing a first mixture by mixing a liquid plasticizer with fibers comprising at least one type of inorganic fibers or at least one type of organic fibers; preparing a second mixture in which the fibers are dispersed in the liquid plasticizer by agitating the first mixture; preparing a third mixture by mixing the second mixture with a thermoplastic resin; and forming a floor material through thermo-compression of the third mixture.
