Abstract: A charging and discharging system includes a vehicle, a cable, and a charging and discharging device. The vehicle includes an electric storage device, a first fuse, and an inlet. The cable includes a connector, a second fuse, and a power line. The charging and discharging device is configured to convert AC power supplied from a commercial AC power source into DC power and to supply the DC power to the electric storage device via the cable in a charging mode. The charging and discharging device is configured to convert DC power supplied from the electric storage device via the cable into AC power and to supply the AC power to a load in a discharging mode. The first fuse is configured to be melted and cut earlier than the second fuse when the power line causes a short circuit in the discharging mode.

Abstract: Pass-thru connector assembly includes a pass-thru body having a passage section and a loading section that are configured to be positioned in separate first and second spaces, respectively. The pass-thru body also includes a body channel that extends therethrough. The passage section defines an opening to the body channel in the first space. The pass-thru connector assembly also includes a header housing that is configured to mate with an electrical connector. The header housing is attached to the passage section and covers the opening to the body channel. An electrical cable extends through an aperture of a cable seal and into and through the cable portion of the body channel. The cable seal engages the outer jacket of the electrical cable at a sealed interface. The electrical contact is coupled to the header housing and positioned for engaging a corresponding contact of the electrical connector.

Abstract: A device for fastening and electrical contacting of a vehicle window pane with an integrated electrical functional element. The device includes a pane adapter fixed on the vehicle window pane; a pane holder that couples the pane adapter with a vehicle body; a pane-side plug that establishes electrical contact with the functional element when the window pane is assembled; and a pane-side coupling shoe for mounting the pane-side plug on the vehicle window pane. The device further includes a mating plug that couples with the the pane-side plug to provide electrical contact of the functional element to a control unit. Furthermore, the pane adapter, the pane-side coupling shoe, the pane holder, and a plug holder that supports the mating plug, are kinematically coupled so that during assembly of the vehicle window pane using the pane adapter on the pane holder, the pane-side plug is connected to the mating plug.

Abstract: An electrical cable connector includes a contact subassembly having a center contact, a dielectric holder, and an outer contact. The dielectric holder defines a channel that is open at a top side of the dielectric holder. The center contact has a termination region that is held in the channel. The termination region includes a first cable insulation displacement (CID) feature. The outer contact includes a second CID feature extending from a base wall of the outer contact outside of the dielectric holder. The second CID feature extends into the channel through an aperture in the dielectric holder. The first CID feature engages a core conductor of a cable and the second CID feature engages a shield layer of the cable as the cable is loaded into the channel from above the top side of the dielectric holder.
