Abstract:
A method of applying electrotherapy to the heart of a patient includes positioning electrodes in communication with the heart of the patient; monitoring the patient's heart to determine if its fibrillating; and providing a first signal with a current generator to the heart through the electrodes in response to an indication that the heart is fibrillating. The first stimulus signal reduces the amount of fibrillation.
Abstract:
The invention provides systems and methods for neuromuscular electrical stimulation to muscle tissue. Stimulation electrodes may be provided on a stimulation pad, configured to provide electrical stimulation to a target tissue. A system for neuromuscular electrical stimulation may also include pressure generating mechanisms that may provide a compressive force to a region with the target tissue, thereby removing some excess third space fluid from the region.
Abstract:
A system, apparatus, and method are disclosed for therapeutic light and sound, comprising the steps of exposing a user to spectral light and laterally directed sound and adjusting the manner of exposure sufficient to elicit a desired autonomic nervous response.
Abstract:
Hair growth therapy is provided by a device capable of delivering multiple hair growth therapies to a user, either individually or in combination. The device includes multiple optical sources providing an array of different optical stimulation signals, while also having vibration capabilities to provide physical stimulation. The multiple optical stimulation therapies include high powered lasers, and light emitting diodes (LEDs) of different wavelengths. Through the use of these multiple light sources, stimulation of hair follicles is provided at the root, along the upper portion, and throughout the base, each promoting healthy hair growth. In addition, the vibration therapies provide a messaging affect, thus further stimulating blood flow in the scalp and helping to support healthy hair growth. The device is configured to resemble a hairbrush, having brushing extensions or bristles at one end, thus allowing the user to simultaneously brush through existing hair while also applying the therapies outlined above. Lastly, the bristles are removable, thus allowing these same therapies to be applied to those bald individuals or individuals having extremely thin hair.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a micro needle roller assembly comprising a roller head including an external cylindrical member having a plurality of micro needles mounted on a surface thereof and an internal member placed in the external member and supported to the external member by supporting piece; and a handling member coupled to the internal member for rotating the internal member of the roller head; the micro needles, the external cylindrical member and the internal member being made of polymer resin.
Abstract:
A bath (100) comprises a support (1) of foamed polymeric material, substantially soft, suitable for defining a volume suitable for being filled with water or other liquid intended for sanitary purposes, characterised in that it further comprises a coating (2), for at least partly covering said support (1), said coating (2) being made mosaic-wise by a plurality of blocks (21), said blocks exhibiting structural stiffness higher than said support (1).
Abstract:
A method of modulating the human meridian system using a small bar magnet is provided. In the method of modulating the human meridian system, the small bar magnet has a length of 3 cm or less and a coercivity of 1000 gauss or greater. The meridian system is modulated by attaching the small bar magnet to the skin or hypodermically implanting the small bar magnet, such that the direction of flow of a magnetic force of the magnet is the same as or opposite to the direction of flow of the meridian system. The method, which can replace traditional acupuncture and/or moxibustion for modulating the human meridian system, allows ordinary people to use the same in a risk-free, safe and simple manner without causing pain to a body.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a medication head-massaging healthcare and therapy apparatus including a disposable medication cap and a helmet. The helmet includes an inner helmet and an outer helmet. At the same time, the inner helmet and the outer helmet are helmets which are connected to a top side, a left side and a right side so that a volume size of the helmet can be adjusted. The inner helmet is connected to a bottom chassis for a device mounting and a sound absorbing chassis, and a steel ball is mounted on the edges of the outer helmet. A flange is fixed to an axis of a subminiature driving electromotor rotation pin and a steel ball are connected each other in a groove at an eccentric position of the flange.
Abstract:
The present invention is a portable integrated sound, physioacoustic, and colored light apparatus. This is a self-contained electrically powered device designed to stimulate and facilitate the human body's innate self-healing mechanisms. The active components are housed in a portable pyramidal-shaped lower enclosure (100) with a single recessed panel (102) on one side of the unit containing a user interface for controlling the pitch and tonal quality of the generated sound and physioacoustic frequencies. The unit also contains specified colored light elements situated under a quartz crystal pyramid capstone (108) which react with the sound frequencies by increasing and decreasing in intensity. The user or therapist has the capability to access the electronically generated sound source to achieve a wide variety of tonal sound and vibrational components, as well as the ability to select the desired colored light therapy component.
Abstract:
A massage chair with function of stress relaxation and sleep inducing comprises a chair and a head cove. When sitting in the chair, the user can use the head cover to cover his head and then turn on the light emitting unit and the sound generating unit to send out light and sound that have the frequency as one or combination of the δ, α, θ and β brainwaves toward the user's eyes and ears synchronously. The light and sound wave are used to affect the user's brainwaves, and the music covers the boring sound wave, thus creating a happy and relaxed atmosphere for the user and guiding him into a desired state, such as relaxed yet alert state, shallow sleep state, deep sleep state, by guiding his brainwaves.
