Abstract:
A vehicle is wrapped by a printed adhesive film where the film is also applied over doors and other areas intended not to be covered. The film is cut at the door edge and over the area by adhesively attaching a tape having a release coating on the front surface and carrying a filament along a center of the front side. The printed film is applied over the door, the area not to be covered and the tapes and is cut along the door edge and around the area by pulling the filament from the tape so that a strip of the film at the door edge and the film over the area can be removed. The film can be stretched and pulled away from the tape for reapplying for proper fit.
Abstract:
The double-faced adhesive tape has a substrate, an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, a rubber pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and a first release liner that is formed on an external side of the rubber pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and a second release liner that is formed on an external side of the acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The first release liner each has a polymer layer and a paper substrate layer. Further, the second release liner each has a polymer layer and a paper substrate layer. Dynamic friction coefficient on the surface of each polymer layer is less than 1.0, when the coefficient is measured according to JIS K7125.
Abstract:
A release film comprising a releasing agent layer which is disposed on at least one of faces of a substrate film and has a hardness of 0.07 GPa or smaller as measured in accordance with a nano indentation test, wherein peeling force has an average value of 100 mN/20 mm or greater and stays within ±7% of the average value when the release film having a width of 20 mm and a length of 150 mm is peeled from a pressure sensitive adhesive layer at an angle of 180° with respect to the face of the adhesive layer at a speed of 0.3 m/minute in measurement of the peeling force. When the release film is peeled from the face of the adhesive layer of a pressure sensitive adhesive product, striation on the surface of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer can be prevented by suppressing zipping.
Abstract:
A curable composition comprises a fluoropolymer, a silicone having a plurality of vinyl groups, a silicone having a plurality of Si—H groups, and a hydrosilation catalyst. Reaction products of the curable composition are used as release materials for release liners and adhesive articles.
Abstract:
The invention relates to compatibilized release compositions useful in release layers of release articles (e.g., release liners) and adhesive articles (e.g., pressure sensitive adhesive tapes). The compatibilized release compositions comprise a mixture of a thermoplastic olefin-based polymer comprising an acid or a base functionality and a polymeric release material comprising an acid or a base functionality. The functionality of the thermoplastic olefin-based polymer and the functionality of the polymeric release material are selected to provide an acid-base interaction.
Abstract:
A self-adhesive surface protection film, particularly for covering painted sheet metal and high-gloss sheet metal made of aluminum or stainless steel, has a layered laminate containing at least a carrier layer and an adhesive layer. The layered laminate is produced by means of coextrusion and the coextruded adhesive layer is based on polyisobutylene and/or on a styrene block copolymer.

Abstract:
A double-sided heat-sensitive adhesive sheet comprises a support provided with a release layer on one side thereof and heat-sensitive adhesive layers which are formed on both sides of the support and have sufficient adhesion to the support but can be easily peeled apart from the release layer, wherein the release layer and the heat-sensitive adhesive layer has at their interface a 180° peeling resistance of 10-30 g/50 mm in a peel test performed at a peeling speed of 500 mm/min. in an atmosphere of 20° C. and 65% RH. The adhesive sheet is interposed between each opposed pair of information-recorded faces of recording material having on one side at least two spaces for information-recording, and heat is applied to the resultant assembly to make a laminate. The laminate can have a size and weight suitable for mailing as a postcard, and can bear confidential information on the inside and be peeled apart when desired.
Abstract:
Ink-imprintable release coating compositions are described which comprise a polymer comprising a polyurethane, a fluoroacrylate polymer or copolymer, or an addition cured or a condensation cured silicone polymer containing dispersed and/or emulsified resin particles, resin particle domains, or both, and, optionally, inorganic particles. The resin particles comprise resins which are different from the polymers and the resins comprise polyurethanes, polyamides, and polyureas. Ink-imprintable label, tape and stamp constructions also are described which comprise a plurality of contiguous labels, tapes or stamps in a roll or stacked sheet configuration without an independent release liner wherein the labels, tapes and stamps have a pressure-sensitive adhesive on the back surface and a cured ink-imprintable release coating on the face surface.
