Abstract:
An image forming apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a receiving unit, a controlling unit, an information accumulating unit, a sleep mode response data generating unit, and a transmitting unit. The receiving unit receives information requesting data. The controlling unit, in a normal mode, generates first response data after receiving the information requesting data. The information accumulating unit accumulates information associated with the first response data. The sleep mode response data generating unit, in a sleep mode, generates second response data on the basis of the information accumulated by the information accumulating unit. The transmitting unit transmits one of the first and the second response data.
Abstract:
A dynamically applicable system to calibrate a number of printers having a controller including a processor and memory to control printing a document relative to characteristics of the document using the printer. Calibration settings for the printer may be manipulable. Calibration may be performed by comparing a calibration pattern to a marking on a calibration document. Additionally, calibration may be performed by comparing a calibration pattern with a crease. The controller may calculate calibration settings from calibration information received using an interface. Calibration settings are storable on memory or a database. The system may communicate with other devices over a network.
Abstract:
A detection device includes: an imaging unit that forms an image of an incident beam on an image detection unit; an emission unit that includes a guided portion that is guided to a guiding portion provided at the imaging unit and guiding an attachment-detachment operation of the guided portion, a positioned portion that is positioned in a positioning portion provided at the imaging unit, and an emission member that emits a beam toward a direction of a transportation path such that a beam reflected from the medium is incident to the imaging unit; and a setting unit that includes a positioned portion that is positioned in a positioning portion provided at the emission unit when a drawing unit is pressure-inserted into the image forming apparatus and a setting surface that sets a position on the medium at which the beam is reflected.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus which can prohibit any users but a user who has made a deposit from operating the image forming apparatus for a chargeable process. A communication controller of the image forming apparatus obtains pieces of proper information of cell-phones. An ID management section issues IDs for the respective pieces of proper information, and the communication controller sends the IDs to the corresponding cell-phones. At an input section, a user of one of the cell-phones inputs the ID sent thereto. Thereafter, the communication controller receives an access from a cell-phone and receives proper information of the cell-phone. In this moment, it is judged whether the cell-phone which has made an access is identical with the cell-phone of which ID was inputted at the input section. Only when the communication controller identifies the cell-phone, the communication controller permits the image forming apparatus to communicate with the cell-phone.
Abstract:
In accordance with one embodiment, an image reading apparatus comprises a conveyance section, a reading section, a flexible unit and a control section. The conveyance section conveys a sheet along a conveyance path. The reading section arranged along the conveyance path reads the surface of the conveyed sheet. The flexible unit flexes the sheet conveyed towards the reading section. The control unit controls the flexible unit to flex the sheet when the reading section carries out a first reading processing of reading an image representing the surface state of the sheet.
Abstract:
There is a problem in that, when a handle section is provided in a recording device, the handle section protrudes from a casing and the size of the recording apparatus is increased. A recording apparatus is provided with a recording head which records on paper and a discharge tray which is provided to be able to slide with regard to a casing and holds the paper which is recorded upon using the recording head and discharged, where the discharge tray has a through section which is formed on the downstream side in a discharge direction and a handle section which is formed at an edge section more to the downstream side in the discharge direction than the through section, the handle section is accommodated inside of the casing in a state where the discharge tray is accommodated in the casing, the through section and the handle section are positioned outside of the casing in a state where the discharge tray is drawn out from the casing, and the discharge tray is supported in a state of hanging down from the casing.
Abstract:
An SoC is connected to an SDRAM that is controlled by a memory controller and a memory PHY, and the SoC is operable in a normal mode and in a power saving mode. The SoC includes a block A to be powered off in the power saving mode and a block B not to be powered off in the power saving mode. A memory controller is included in the block A. A memory PHY and signal level holding cells are included in the block B. The signal level holding cells are provided between the memory controller and the memory PHY, and are configured to fix output signals from the memory controller at predetermined levels in the power saving mode.
Abstract:
