Abstract: The various embodiments described herein include methods, devices, and systems for fabricating and operating transistors. In one aspect, a transistor includes: (1) a semiconducting component configured to operate in an on state at temperatures above a semiconducting threshold temperature; and (2) a superconducting component configured to operate in a superconducting state while: (a) a temperature of the superconducting component is below a superconducting threshold temperature; and (b) a first current supplied to the superconducting component is below a current threshold; where: (i) the semiconducting component is located adjacent to the superconducting component; and (ii) in response to a first input voltage, the semiconducting component is configured to generate an electromagnetic field sufficient to lower the current threshold such that the first current exceeds the lowered current threshold, thereby transitioning the superconducting component to a non-superconducting state.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a detection device includes: a planar detection device including photodetection elements; point light sources provided correspondingly to the photodetection elements; a light directivity control element disposed between the point light sources and the photodetection elements; and a detection circuit electrically coupled to the photodetection elements. Each point light source corresponds to at least one of the photodetection elements. In a light amount setting mode, the point light sources are lit up at different light amounts; the photodetection elements output sensor values corresponding to the different light amounts; the sensor values that are detected are compared with a preset target sensor value; and light amounts for detection of the point light sources are set. In a detection mode, the point light sources are lit up at the set light amounts for detection; and the photodetection elements output sensor values corresponding to the light amounts for detection.

Abstract: There is provided an optical sensor including a photodiode, a wave converter, a pixel array and a processor. The photodiode detects ambient light flicker to generate sine waves. The wave converter converts the sine waves to square waves. The processor uses a sampling frequency to count the square waves, and identifies whether the ambient light flicker is well detected according to a counting value of each square wave and a counting value variation of multiple square waves within a count period to accordingly determine whether to recognize a frequency of ambient light flicker and adjust an acquiring phase of the image frame.

A first recess region is disposed along a back-side of the substrate within the first pixel region. The back-side of the substrate within the first pixel region is asymmetric about a center of the first pixel region in a cross-sectional view. A second recess region is disposed along the back-side of the substrate and within the second pixel region. The back-side of the substrate within the second pixel region is asymmetric about a center of the second pixel region in the cross-sectional view. The first recess region and the second recess region are substantially symmetric about a vertical line laterally between the first pixel region and the second pixel region.
