Abstract:
The invention relates to a dosing device with a medium reservoir. Dosing devices that comprise a medium reservoir and a pump device for dosing and dispensing a medium stored in the medium reservoir and pressure compensation means associated with the medium reservoir are known. According to the invention, the medium reservoir is provided with pressure-sensitive, flexible walls. The invention further relates to the use of said dosing device for dispensing pharmaceutical active substances.
Abstract:
A discharge head has an operating cap and a discharge connection for fitting on the operating shaft of a discharge apparatus. The discharge head has a shaft over most of its length positioned in contact-free manner within an outer sleeve of the discharge connection, and which is provided with a connecting member for fitting on the operating shaft. The other shaft end of the discharge head shaft is only fixed by press fit in a short inner sleeve and forms a nozzle core, and at the end a free-standing end wall, at which the medium is transversely deflected from a central portion of an outlet channel and is supplied via longitudinal channels to a discharge opening.
Abstract:
In a manually operable discharging apparatus (1) in the extension of the medium pump (2) provided for conveying the medium and in directly equiaxial manner at the outer end thereof is provided a compressed air pump (50) located in a cap-like, common handle (22), with which by means of a compressed air duct (90) separate from the medium supply for furthering atomization compressed air can be delivered to the discharge nozzle (25) or in other areas of the discharging apparatus (1), e.g. to the medium discharge duct (24), so that it is also possible to clean said duct by blowing free. The compressed air pump (50) can be constructed in such a way that it starts with the compressed air delivery prior to the medium delivery of the medium pump (2) and ends after this. In addition, appropriately there is an at least two-stage atomizing device (100) for the additional atomization of a preatomized medium flow with a nozzle air flow in the vicinity of discharge nozzle (25).
Abstract:
A manually operable fluid dispenser is described in which the pump cylinder (12) is a separate part plugged onto a dispenser body (2) and secured against retraction by stop and counter stop members (18, 10). The pump cylinder (12) is engaging a counter member (9) of the dispenser body (2) and this counter member (9) is surrounded at a distance by an additional casing jacket (5) entirely receiving the pump cylinder (12) in the initial position of the pump piston (20). Although a resiliently opening and closing discharge valve is conceivable a discharge closure device can be provided which, upon initially operating the discharge pump, irreversibly opens. An expel member (34) immersed into the hollow pump piston (20) is provided in the pump chamber (14) in such a way that it immerses at the beginning of the pump stroke. The discharge nozzle is provided with a nozzle cap receiving a separate nozzle mandrel and this nozzle mandrel is inserted into a discharge head, thereby engaging directly into a mounting opening of this discharge head.
Abstract:
A vacuum-tight and pressure-tight closed storage space in a container is constructionally combined with a thrust piston pump projecting thereinto and a drag piston slidably guided therein and in the initial position of the thrust piston pump is hermetically sealed by an exhaust valve mechanically closed in forcibly controlled manner. The drag piston is adapted to the thrust piston pump in such a way that the storage space can be emptied substantially free with the thrust piston pump.
Abstract:
A dispenser is disclosed which is made up of two telescoping sections. One section holds at least one volume of a substance to be discharged. Telescoping motion of the sections compresses the substance to be discharged to force it through a passage in the section not holding the substance volume to be discharged therefrom. Motion between the section is limited to ensure precise metering of a charge to be dispersed.
Abstract:
A discharge apparatus (1) has for the discharge actuating device (5) a self-engaging catch system (29) against further actuation at the end of each actuating cycle. For unlocking purposes an actuator (11, 23) must be manually rotated and simultaneously adjusting cams (33) of a discharge counter (20) are so transferred into an operating position, that they perform an indexing step during the next stroke.
Abstract:
A discharging apparatus (1) is arranged in substantially completely inserted or plunged manner in a storage vessel (2) with a locking flange (30), which forms an opening (40) for the at least partial reception of the operating head (20) and engages round the vessel neck (7) in the manner of a hang-in profile. The locking flange (30) carries a securing body (50) for the snap retaining of closure cap lid. Thus, there is a very compact arrangement of the discharging apparatus (1) in such a way that the latter only insignificantly increases the total length of the storage vessel (2).

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for pre-charging the pump chamber of a discharge pump on a container such as a fluid atomizer primes the pump for dependable operation thereafter. The method includes opening the outlet valve of the discharge pump by operating the pump to its full displacement, and applying a vacuum to draw container contents into the pump chamber, just up to the outlet valve. The apparatus for practicing the method includes a controllable vacuum head adapted to engage an outlet channel of the container, the vacuum head also being movable to engage and move the pump. The apparatus can incorporate an indexing feeding arrangement for delivering articles to the vacuum head, and a blast of pressure may be applied upon completing the process, to release the containers from the vacuum head and securely close the pump outlet valve.
