Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to an internal combustion engine having a valve actuation device and at least one first exhaust valve and one second exhaust valve per cylinder. The first and second exhaust valves may be actuated together in at least one operating area of the internal combustion engine, via an exhaust valve bridge and a first valve lifter, by a first cam lobe of a first exhaust cam arranged on a camshaft. The camshaft having a second exhaust cam with at least one additional cam lobe and at least one second cam lobe A transmission device being arranged in the functional path between the second exhaust cam and the second exhaust valve, the transmission device allowing an idle stroke to be activated or deactivated. The first exhaust cam and the second exhaust cam are configured and arranged to be rotatable relative to one another.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cylinder head (1) with at least one recess (23) for arranging at least one gas valve (20) and at least one spark plug (15). The spark plug (15) reaches into a pre-chamber (17) and is arranged along a spark plug rotational axis (16), and the gas valve (20) is arranged along a gas valve rotational axis (19), wherein the gas valve rotational axis (19) is inclined relative to the spark plug rotational axis (16). and the distance (A) between the gas valve rotational axis (19) and the spark plug rotational axis (16) decreases as the distance to the pre-chamber (17) increases in a direction facing away from the combustion chamber (2). The aim of the invention is to provide an improved cylinder head (1) which allows an improved assembly and requires less installation space. According to the invention, this is achieved by the aforementioned cylinder head (1) in that the recess (23) for the spark plug (15) and the gas valve (20) has a surface (0) which is formed by a primary molding process, preferably a casting process, and is post-processed particularly preferably without machining.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to liquid-cooled cylinder heads. In one example embodiment, a cylinder head is disclosed including a component which extends into a combustion chamber, an upper cooling jacked, a lower cooling jacket, a plurality of valves arranged around the component, a plurality of cylinder head screws, an oil deck, a fire deck, a plurality of valve guides, and a fixed connection. The fixed connection is arranged from each valve guide to the component, and is a ring having at least one support. The support and the ring extend at least from the oil deck to the fire deck thereby hounding the combustion chamber, and the component is connected to the plurality of cylinder head screws.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a coupling device for a valve-actuating device for actuating at least one valve of a reciprocating machine having variable valve lift, in particular for a valve-actuating device of a reciprocating internal combustion engine, to a valve-actuating device and to a reciprocating machine, the coupling device comprising a first coupling element, a second coupling element and a blocking means. The first coupling element and the second coupling element can be displaced relative to one another at least within defined boundaries along a first axis, it being possible for the blocking means to block the relative displacement of the two coupling elements with respect to one another along the first axis at least in a first direction. The blocking means comprises a blocking element, which can be rotated about the first axis in the circumferential direction at least in a defined region, the relative displacement of the two coupling elements along the first axis being blocked at least in the first direction if the blocking element is in a blocking position.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an internal combustion engine cylinder head. In one example embodiment, the cylinder head includes a combustion chamber, a fire deck, an intermediate deck remote from a combustion chamber, a central receptacle that receives an injection or ignition device, at least one valve bridge, at least two adjacent gas exchange valves, a top-down cooling system, at least one first transfer opening, and at least one second transfer opening. The at least one first transfer opening positioned between the first sub-cooling chamber and the second sub-cooling chamber. Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to, for example, a cylinder head for an internal combustion engine. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the cylinder head includes at least one upper partial cooling chamber, a lower partial cooling chamber, an intermediate deck and at least one flow connection. The upper and lower cooling chamber are separated from one another by the intermediate deck. The intermediate deck having an element of single-wall design which extends into a combustion chamber and penetrates the intermediate deck. The at least one flow connection is positioned in the region of the element between the at least one upper and lower partial cooling chambers. The at least one flow connection formed by at least one recess on the element which tapers towards the one lower partial cooling chamber.
