    Abstract: In a method of video decoding, coded information of a current block in a current picture of a video is received from a coded video bitstream. The coded information indicates that the current block is an intra block copy (IBC) block. The current block is divided into a plurality of partitions based on a geometric partition mode (GPM). An intra prediction mode for a subblock is derived from one of the plurality of partitions as an intra mode of a pixel positioned at a location of a reference subblock in a reference block referenced by a block vector of the IBC block. The intra prediction mode for the subblock is stored. A neighboring block of the current block is determined as an IBC block. A most probable mode (MPM) list for the neighboring block is constructed using the stored intra prediction mode for the subblock of the current block.

    Abstract: An example method of video decoding includes receiving a video bitstream comprising a plurality of frames, including a current frame having a chroma component and a luma component. When a semi-decoupled partitioning (SDP) mode is enabled for the current frame, the method includes parsing one or more parameters of a first constrained directional enhancement filter (CDEF) process from the video bitstream, applying the first CDEF process to the chroma component of the current frame according to the one or more parameters, parsing one or more second parameters of a second CDEF process from the video bitstream, applying the second CDEF process to the luma component of the current frame according to the one or more second parameters, and reconstructing the current frame in accordance with the first CDEF process and the second CDEF process. In this example, the second CDEF process is separate from the first CDEF process.

An example method of video decoding includes receiving a video bitstream and reconstructing a first sample of the video bitstream using a non-linear mapping-based filter with a first filter shape configuration of a plurality of filter shape configurations. The plurality of filter shape configurations includes at least two filter shape configurations that are based on a same geometric shape and include a same number of filter taps, and the filter taps of the at least two filter shape configurations are located at different positions. The method further includes selecting a second filter shape configuration of the plurality of filter shape configurations, and reconstructing a second sample in the video based on the non-linear mapping-based filter with the second filter shape configuration.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to signaling, parsing, and using adaptive resolution for motion vector difference in video coding. An example method includes receiving a video bitstream and extracting an inter-prediction syntax element from the video bitstream. The inter-prediction syntax element indicates which single-reference inter-prediction mode is enabled for one or more video blocks of the video bitstream. The method further includes determining whether an adaptive motion vector difference (MVD) mode is enabled for the one or more video blocks. The adaptive MVD mode is a single-reference inter-prediction mode with an adaptive MVD pixel resolution. When the adaptive MVD mode is enabled for the one or more video blocks, the method includes selecting a current MVD pixel resolution from a set of available MVD pixel resolutions. The method also includes decoding the one or more video blocks based on the current MVD pixel resolution.

    Abstract: An example method of decoding an encoded video bitstream using at least one processor includes obtaining an encoded video bitstream, the encoded video bitstream including encoded color components. The method also includes entropy parsing the encoded color components and dequantizing the color components and obtaining transform coefficients of the color components. The method further includes applying a joint components secondary transform (JCST) on the transform coefficients of the color components, thereby generating JCST outputs. The method also includes performing a backward transform on the JCST outputs, thereby obtaining residual components of the color components; and decoding the encoded video bitstream based on the residual components of the color components.

The processing circuitry determines whether a current block in a current picture is a small block based on a block size threshold.     Abstract: Method, apparatus, and non-transitory storage medium for coding and decoding video data using temporal motion vector prediction (TMVP) is provided. The method may include receiving video bitstream comprising one or more pictures; determining that the one or more pictures are to be predicted in a regular merge mode or an adaptive motion vector prediction (AMVP) mode. A displacement vector associated with a current block in a current picture is obtained, the displacement vector being signaled in the video bitstream to identify a reference block in the current picture. A TMVP candidate list comprising the motion information is generated and a motion vector for the current block using the TMVP candidate list is derived. Then the current block is decoded using the derived motion vector for prediction in the regular merge mode or the adaptive motion vector prediction (AMVP) mode.
