Abstract: A back scratching device for scratching hard to reach places includes a rod, which in turn comprises a plurality of linear segments. Each pivot of a set of pivots is operationally attached to a respective linear segment and to an adjacent linear segment. Each linear segment thus is selectively angularly positionable relative to at least one adjacent linear segment. A plurality of barbs is attached to a first end of the rod. The rod can be grasped, proximate to a second end of the rod, in a hand of a user, positioning the user to manipulate the rod so that the barbs scratch a back of the user to relieve itching.
