Abstract: An adaptive assistive and/or rehabilitative device may be configurable for use with another assistive device, such as a wearable assistive device. When the wearable assistive device is a robotic device such as an exoskeleton, the adaptive assistive and/or rehabilitative device may be transformed into a first configuration for charging or storing the exoskeleton, a second configuration for transport of the exoskeleton, a third configuration for assistance in donning of the exoskeleton by a user, and a fourth configuration for assisting the user while standing or walking with the exoskeleton.

Abstract: In embodiments, a CPR chest compression system includes a retention structure that can retain the patient's body, and a compression mechanism that can perform automatically CPR compressions and releases to the patient's chest. The compression mechanism can pause the performing of the CPR compressions for a short time, so that an attendant can check the patient. The CPR system also includes a user interface that can output a human-perceptible check patient prompt, to alert an attendant to check the patient during the pause. An advantage can be when the attendant checks in situations where the condition of the patient might have changed, and an adjustment is needed. Or in situations where the patient may have improved enough to where the compressions are no longer needed.

Abstract: The apparatus for cupping includes a cupping bell, a suction chamber, and a piston member with a handle and piston skirt. The suction chamber connects to the cupping bell, and actuation of the piston member through the suction chamber creates a vacuum in the cupping bell. Skin and soft tissue adjacent to the opened end of the cupping bell is suctioned into the cupping bell for cupping therapy of the treatment area. The suction chamber has a locking device cooperative with a locking notch on the piston so that dimensions of the piston member correspond to set levels of suction in the cupping bell with continuous pressure when increasing suction during a treatment. The cupping bell has a flared portion for engaging the treatment area with less trauma and pain for the patient.

Abstract: Disclosed is apparatus and method for distraction (stretching and/or straightening) of injured or repaired knee joints. The apparatus has pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders that are designed to be disposed on either side of a leg and are attached to a knee brace or other leg holding device secured above the knee joint and attached to another holding device secured around the ankle of the leg. When the cylinder is activated (piston extended) the knee brace and ankle device are separated (moved apart) thus causing the knee joint to be straightened or slightly separated.
