Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a filter assembly including an outer housing, and a removable filter insert that fits within the housing. The filter insert includes a generally cylindrical filter element. An insert body is connected to the filter element. The insert body includes a top end cap in which a top end of the filter element is potted, and a bottom end cap in which a bottom end of the filter element is potted. The insert body also includes a cylindrical liner or wall that surrounds the filter element. The cylindrical liner is spaced-apart from the filter element such that an annular flow passageway is defined between the cylindrical liner and the filter element. The outer wall is configured to prevent contaminants from escaping from the filter insert and contaminating the inside of the housing.
Abstract:
A filter element has an end cap arrangement selectively convertible from a tapered end cap to a flat end cap, and from the flat end cap to the tapered end cap. The conversion can include coupling, such as a threaded engagement; or, it can include a snap-fit engagement.
Abstract:
A removable filter assembly for filtering a fluid having a particulate or a contaminant and configured to engage a filter housing having a center post. The removable filter assembly includes a filter element adapted to remove at least one of the particulate or contaminate from the fluid, wherein the filter element includes an interior wall defining a passage having a first end and a second end. A container arrangement includes a channel and an outer wall in contact with the filter element at the first end of the passage, wherein the outer wall defines an outer profile extending from the first end of the passage toward the second end of the passage. The channel defines an inner wall configured to provide a relatively fluid tight seal with the center post. The container arrangement is adapted to capture at least one of the particulate or contaminate from the fluid. The outer wall of the container arrangement can include a plurality of radially aligned ribs.
Abstract:
The present invention describes a capsule (1) intended for a liquid flow, said capsule (1) comprising an inner casing (2) which is encasing liquid processing means and the liquid flow passing the liquid processing means, and which inner casing (2) is open for inflow and outflow of liquid into and out from the capsule (1); an outer unit (3) which has means having a pressure up-taking ability for the inner casing (2), wherein the inner casing (2) and outer unit (3) may be totally separated from each other, and wherein the inner casing (2) may function as a disposable part of the capsule (1).
Abstract:
The present invention presents a filtration system with an integrated manifold valve. The filtration system employs only one pivotal component—the pivoting of the manifold. The manifold valve includes a dual aperture design for a two-fold alignment scheme with the ingress and egress lines of the fluid source. The invention is free of multi-component rotary valve with internal, rotatable parts, or an activation component, such as a handle, for initiating the rotary valve, allowing the user to rotate the rotational components thereof. The reduction in moveable components in this design reduces the likelihood of failure and increases the reliability of the filtration system.
Abstract:
A filter cartridge for installation within a compatible pressure vessel is provided. The filter cartridge comprises a filter head comprising a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a filter media attached to the filter head, the filter media being in fluid communication with the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The filter cartridge further comprises a polymeric film attached to the filter head and forming a fluid-tight casing around the filter media, the polymeric film comprising an inner film wall facing the filter media and an outer film wall facing the pressure vessel. One or more depressions in the outer film wall create one or more fluid passages between the polymeric film and the pressure vessel when the filter cartridge is installed in the pressure vessel.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a module for filtering media. More particularly, the invention concerns a module for filtering fluids and including one or more filter cells stacked on top of one another. The invention also relates to an installation set for the installation of at least one such filter module in a filter housing, as well as to a filter device with a filter housing, in which the filter module or the filter modules is/are installed together with the installation set.
Abstract:
An oil filter is provided which comprises a housing main body, a cover attached to the housing main body on the lower side thereof, an inner tubular member axially movably disposed in a recessed portion of the housing main body, a seal member interposed between the inner tubular member and the cover so as to provide a seal therebetween, a biasing unit for urging the inner tubular member in the direction to protrude from the recessed portion, and a filter element disposed in an oil flowing space between the housing main body and the cover, wherein when the cover is in a sate of being attached to the housing main body, the inner tubular member is pushed down into the recessed portion of the cover against a bias of the biasing unit.

Abstract:
There is provided a liquid filter comprising a filter vessel having a removable cover, a fluid inlet, an engagement lip for a filter and a fluid outlet, an open top, fluid impermeable sidewalls, and a fluid outlet at a bottom of the insert. Into the filter vessel is inserted a water impermeable insert having an insert lip engageable in a sealing relationship with the filter vessel engagement lip. A single cartridge filter is inserted within the cartridge filter insert having a generally solid top surface, a bottom fluid outlet sealingly engageable with the insert outlet and a filter material. The cartridge filter top surface forms a weir for diverting fluid to be filtered toward an annular opening created between the filter cartridge and the insert, the annular opening having a cross sectional area, which generally is from 25 to 100% of the cross sectional area of the filter cartridge outlet opening.
