Abstract:
An image processing apparatus detecting a wheelchair passenger for an elevator. This image processing apparatus includes a TV camera installed so that a hail where passengers are waiting is monitored through the camera, which is located in the vicinity of the elevator door, a face area extraction unit, a wheelchair area estimation unit, and a wheelchair existence judgment unit. The image processing apparatus is operated in the following manner, one or a several passengers' face area is identified by the face area extraction unit in the image picked-up by the TV camera, and the position of the face area in the image is detected. If the passenger is sitting in a wheelchair, the area where the wheelchair is likely to be in the image is estimated by the wheelchair area estimation unit from the position of the face area. The estimated area where the wheelchair is likely to be is checked by the wheelchair existence judgment unit, to determine whether the wheelchair is present.
Abstract:
A passenger guidance system, elevator system, and passenger guidance method for elevators. The passenger guidance system includes: a sensor, arranged to collect object feature data of a passenger going towards an elevator; a processing device, in communication with the sensor and an elevator system, for receiving the object feature data and comparing the object feature data with stored passenger information to learn information of a target floor of a successfully matched passenger, and learning a target elevator currently dispatched corresponding to the target floor according to elevator running information of the elevator system; and a guidance device, in communication with the processing device, for forming a sign to at least guide the successfully matched passenger to go towards the target elevator. The present invention can be applied to humanistically and intelligently guide the passenger to reach the target elevator, and bring good elevator taking experience to users.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an elevator system including a controller, wherein the controller is configured for: engaging in a first communication with a facial recognition system that identifies a pet and a first person as owner of the pet, and rendering a plurality of determinations from the first communication, including: a first determination that the pet is proximate a first elevator lobby in a building, a second determination to provide instructions to a first elevator car responsive to the first communication, and engaging in a second communication with the first elevator car for effecting the second determination.
Abstract:
An intelligent surface system is provided for deployment in a space. The intelligent surface system includes a personnel movement device (PMD) configured to move an individual between first and second locations, sensors deployed to sense characteristics of the individual and a controller configured to determine a condition of the individual based on the characteristics and control an operation of the PMD in accordance with the determined condition of the individual.
Abstract:
A method for enabling the use of an elevator system by disabled persons includes detecting at least one position change of a user using at least one sensor, said position change being in the form of at least one signal and at least one reference signal. The signal is then compared to the reference signal. At lease one signal status change is generated when at least one predefined comparison result is fulfilled. For the generated signal state change, the elevator system is at least partially brought to an operating mode enabling the use thereof by disabled persons.
Abstract:
A device, in particular a stair lift, for conveying a person from a first level to a second level, comprising a rail (2) which extends between the first and the second level, a frame (3) which is provided with engaging means designed to engage the rail (2) in such a manner that the frame (3) can be moved along the rail (2), driving means designed to cause the frame (3) to move along the rail (2), and a support (5), in particular a chair, on which the person can be seated, which stair lift is furthermore provided with control means designed to activate the driving means, wherein the control means comprise at least a touch-sensitive surface (9), which surface extends or may extend in such a manner that a person can rest his or her hand, or a part thereof, on the surface so as to activate the driving means.
Abstract:
The present invention provides the image processing apparatus having a function of detecting a wheelchair passenger. This image processing apparatus comprises a TV camera installed so that a hall where passengers are waiting is monitored through the camera provided in the vicinity of the elevator door, a face area extraction unit, a wheelchair area estimation unit, and a wheelchair existence judgment unit. The image processing apparatus is operated in the following manner, that is, one or a plurality of passengers' face area is identified by the face area extraction unit based on the image picked-up by the TV camera, and the position of the face area on the image is detected. If the passenger is sitting on a wheelchair, the area where the wheelchair is likely to exist on the image is estimated by the wheelchair area estimation unit from the position of the face area. The estimated area where the wheelchair is likely to exist is checked by the wheelchair existence judgment unit, to thereby judge whether the wheelchair exists.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a lift installation having a plurality of cabins that can each stop at a number of floors may involve assigning calls placed outside the cabins to the cabins by way of a lift controller based on at least one assignment criterion. The method may involve considering a current traffic situation of the lift installation during the assignment. The method may further involve generating and considering a forecast of a future traffic situation of the lift installation during the assignment. The forecast may account for personal information of at least one of a person who is in a predetermined environment of the lift installation, a person who is in a section of the lift installation, a person who enters a predetermined environment of the lift installation, or a person who leaves a predetermined environment of the lift installation.”
Abstract:
A method for provisioning elevator service includes sensing, by a gesture interface comprising a sensor, a region in proximity to the gesture interface to obtain data; determining, by the gesture interface, that a first pattern in the data corresponds to a first gesture; and initiating a request for elevator service in response to determining that the first pattern corresponds to the first gesture.
