Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of enabling the easy separation of labels, including wrap around labels and sleeve labels, particularly shrink sleeve labels, from containers during recycling through the use of a specially formulated coating to be applied in the seam area. The coatings ensure proper bonding, and shrink properties, of the labels, and have been designed to help de-bonding of the seam in a hot caustic wash step, or a solvent wash step. The method does not rely on floatation separation and therefore may be applied to any container/label material combination regardless of their specific gravity differences.

Abstract: Provided is a silver-coated copper powder that has a dendritic shape, that ensures excellent conductivity as a result of having an increased number of points of contact when silver-coated dendritic copper particles are in contact, prevents aggregation, and that can be suitably used in a conductive paste, and an electromagnetic wave shield. The silver-coated copper powder comprises amassed dendritic copper particles having a linearly grown main trunk and a plurality of branches branching from the main trunk. The surface of the copper particles is coated with silver. The main trunk and the branches of the copper particles have a flat plate shape in which the average cross-sectional thickness is more than 1.0 μm but no more than 5.0 μm. The silver-coated copper powder has a flat plate shape configured from a layered structure of one layer or a plurality of stacked layers. The average particle size (D50) is 1.0-100 μm.

Abstract: Corrosion-resistant coatings and methods of making and using the coatings are provided. The corrosion-resistant coating includes magnetic particles dispersed in a polymer matrix, where the polymer matrix is non-polar and at least partially hydrophobic and the magnetic particles contain an adhesion region comprising a ferromagnetic material, and a polymer interface region surrounding the adhesion region comprising a plurality of ligands, where each ligand comprises an anchoring end and a non-polar end. Methods of producing corrosion-resistant articles are also provided. The methods include applying a corrosion-resistant coating to an article and curing the coating.
