Abstract:
An apparatus has a housing with a rotationally driven rotary body mounted to rotate in the housing, and at least one rotationally driven rotary conductor body, mounted to rotate in the housing and around the rotary body. The rotary conductor body is driven at a rotational frequency that differs from the rotational frequency of the rotary body.
Abstract:
To reduce the rotational power, an apparatus with a rotational body that is rotationally driven in a fluid-filled housing a rotational directing body is provided between the rotational body and the housing, which is rotatably supported coaxially with respect to the rotational body. The rotational directing body is configured such that in operation it rotates at an intermediate rotational frequency in comparison to the housing and the rotational body. The apparatus is particularly an X-ray radiator having a cathode and anode that are mounted in a vacuum tube in a spatially fixed manner in relation to the tube, the vacuum tube being rotationally driven as a rotational body in a coolant housing.
Abstract:
An x-ray radiator has a rotating bulb tube whose vacuum housing rotates within the radiator housing filled with a fluid coolant, as well as with an external heat exchanger for the cooling of the coolant, with the coolant admission connector and the coolant discharge connector for the coolant conducted through the external heat exchanger without a circulating pump arranged at respective positions of the radiator housing at which a lower pressure and a higher pressure are generated by the rotation of the rotating bulb.
Abstract:
An x-ray tube has an evacuated housing rotatable around a rotational axis with a cathode and an anode being rigidly mounted in the housing so as to rotate therewith. The cathode emits electrons which are accelerated with an electrical field so as to strike the anode. An electromagnetic system for deflecting and focusing the electron beam has a number of current-permeated coil elements, whereby the coil elements are arranged a common carrier that at least partially surrounds the housing.
Abstract:
An x-ray tube with vario-focus has an evacuated housing in which are arranged, rigidly connected thereto, an electron-emitting cathode and an anode dish which is struck by the electron beam, accelerated with an electrical field. An electromagnetic system for deflecting and focusing the electron beam is provided, and has a number of current-permeated coil elements. A lateral x-ray beam exit window is provided in the housing for the x-rays, which emerge at substantially a right angle relative to the longitudinal middle axis. The x-rays are picked up by an image receiver following a subject table. At least the anode dish is tiltable relative to the connecting axis to the image receiver, and the electromagnetic system at least partially surrounds a cathode-side neck section of the housing, and generates a quadrupole field for modifying the electron beam cross-section, corresponding to the tilt angle.
Abstract:
An x-radiator has a rotating anode on which electrons emitted by a thermionic cathode are incident to produce an x-ray beam. The electron stream is incident on the anode at a focal spot. The focal spot on the anode is prevented from migrating laterally from a selected point by a magnetic field generated by a coil acting on the electron stream. The position of the emitted x-ray beam is monitored by a detector, and upon a change in position of the x-ray beam, corresponding to a migration of the focal spot, the detector supplies a signal to a control unit for the coil which adjusts the magnetic field to maintain the electron stream at the desired focal spot.

Abstract:
An apparatus (210) and method for total or partial blanking of an electron beam (e) during a jump between the 2 or more positions of a dynamic focal spot (FP) movement in circumferential direction of the electron beam impinging on the focal track (FPTR) of a rotating target disk (230) of a X-ray tube (110). Alternatively the focal spot size can be increased during this short time interval. Overheating of the anode at the focal spot can be prevented.
Abstract:
An X-ray tube device according to the present invention includes a cathode generating an electron beam, an anode generating an X-ray by collision of the electron beam from the cathode, an envelope internally housing the cathode and the anode, a magnetic field generator including a magnetic pole arranged to be opposed to the envelope, generating a magnetic field for focusing and deflecting the electron beam from the cathode to the anode, and an electric field relaxing electrode arranged between the magnetic pole and the envelope, having an outer surface having a rounded shape. Thus, the magnetic field generator can be placed closer to the envelope while a tip end of the magnetic field generator is suppressed from being a discharge start point, and hence the effect of being capable of downsizing the X-ray tube device is achieved.
