Abstract: An authentication processing portion of an MFP requests user authentication to a server based on user information including at least a user ID input from a mobile terminal apparatus or an operation panel. The server has a user authentication portion which performs the user authentication and a UI instruction portion which specifies, when the user authentication succeeds, a UI image displayed on a display panel of the apparatus for operating the MFP depending on the user ID, and instructs the MFP to display the UI image on the apparatus. The MFP executes image output in accordance with a user operation received from the apparatus through the wireless communication portion in a state where the UI image is displayed on the apparatus.

Abstract: An image forming system includes multiple image forming apparatuses and a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal establishes communication connection in a remote operation mode with a parent apparatus (one of the image forming apparatuses), the remote operation mode being a mode in which the mobile terminal operates as a remote operation apparatus of the parent apparatus. The mobile terminal displays an operation screen received from the parent apparatus, accepts a user operation provided through the operation screen, and transmits first setting information based on the user operation to the parent apparatus. The parent apparatus receives the first setting information from the mobile terminal and determines a setting target child apparatus. The parent apparatus transmits second setting information based on the first setting information to the setting target child apparatus, and the setting target child apparatus sets setting content based on the second setting information received from the parent apparatus.

The information storing apparatus sends, to the determined electronic device, a second request based on the first request sent from the operation device, and stores the electronic data that has been sent from the determined electronic device based on the sent second request.

Abstract: A display and input device includes a display unit, a touch panel, an operation reception unit, a display controller, an instruction generation unit, a communication unit, and a communication controller. The communication controller transmits an instruction to provide setting information including a list of items to be set related to image forming and default set values of the items to be set, to an image forming apparatus identified by the instruction generation unit. The display controller displays a setting screen for inputting a change of the set value from the default value, with respect to the items to be set indicated by the setting information received from the image forming apparatus. The instruction generation unit determines the set value of the item to be set according to a user's operation, and generates an image forming instruction based on the determined set value of the item to be set.

Abstract: A system which enables an image forming apparatus to give priority to executing a job sent from a mobile information terminal. Abstract: A system and method are provided for implementing more efficient printing in image forming devices by providing a user-interactive scheme for delaying printing of individual user-requested print operations when an individual image forming device to which a specific user-requested printing operation is directed is determined to be in a power saving mode. The disclosed system and method may determine whether a requested image forming device is in a power saving mode at the time that a user requests an image forming operation and automatically present to the user a formatted user interface page on a display at the user workstation. The formatted user interface may provide the user with an option to direct the image forming device to delay (hold) executing the requested image forming operation until some additional condition is met.
