Abstract: An apparatus includes a communication unit which communicates with a communication device, and can write data received from the communication device in a memory. The apparatus receives an operation request to the apparatus from the communication device, and stores the received operation request in the memory. The apparatus has a function of specifying a function corresponding to the operation request of a plurality of functions included in the apparatus in a state in which the operation request is stored in the memory. When the function is specified, and is not activated, the apparatus activates the function, and controls the activated function.

Abstract: A method of communication applied in a mobile terminal for projecting a file or content onto a display device through a set-top box (STB). The mobile terminal sends a request packet for requesting or triggering the STB to generate and display first identification information in a display area. When the first identification information displayed is scanned, and second identification information, should be identical to or should correspond to the first identification information, is generated by the STB. A comparison between the first identification information and the second identification information establishes authenticity and thus the identity of the sending mobile terminal, and the file or the content in the mobile terminal is then projected onto the display area of the correct display device through the STB. A second communication method, a mobile terminal, and a set-top box are also disclosed.

Abstract: An information providing device is capable of communicating with an image forming device, a data managing device, and a transmission terminal. The information providing device includes a storage unit; a communication unit that transmits a forming instruction to instruct the image forming device to perform image forming, and receives, from the image forming device, storage location information indicating the data managing device that stores data obtained by image forming by the image forming device and indicating a storage location in the data managing device; and a storage location managing unit that generates, in the storage unit, management information in which identification information of the image data is associated with the storage location information. The communication unit receives the data saved in the storage location indicated by the storage location information from the data managing device and transmits the received data to the transmission terminal.
