Abstract: A photoelectric detection circuit and a photoelectric detector are provided. The photoelectric detection circuit includes a first photoelectric sensing element and a second photoelectric sensing element, and an electrical characteristic of the first photoelectric sensing element is substantially identical to an electrical characteristic of the second photoelectric sensing element; the first photoelectric sensing element outputs a first sensed electrical signal, and the second photoelectric sensing element outputs a second sensed electrical signal; a polarity of the first sensed electrical signal is opposite to a polarity of the second sensed electrical signal, and an amplitude value of the first sensed electrical signal is substantially identical to an amplitude value of the second sensed electrical signal.

Abstract: An apparatus containing an optical emitter configured to emit optical radiation is provided. Further, the apparatus includes a first hermetically sealed measurement cell filled with a first gas. The first gas is configured to absorb the optical radiation at least partially at one or more predetermined wavelengths. Additionally, the apparatus includes a first microphone arranged in the measurement cell and configured to generate a first microphone signal on a basis of a photoacoustic excitation of the first gas by the optical radiation. The apparatus moreover includes an evaluation circuit configured to take the first microphone signal as a basis for generating a first measurement signal indicating an emission intensity of the optical emitter at the one or more predetermined wavelengths.

Abstract: A single shot autocorrelator for measuring duration of an ultrashort laser pulse in the far field, having a beam splitter to form two beams from an input ultrashort pulse: the reflected beam is firstly reflected by two mirrors mounted on a translation stage for adjusting time delay and subsequently a third mirror, and after focused by a spherical convex lens, enters a naturally grown strontium barium niobate crystal along the crystal z axis; the transmitted beam is firstly focused by a spherical convex lens, and after reflected by two mirrors, enters the crystal along the crystal z axis from opposite direction. The crystal is in the common focal regions of two spherical convex lenses and generates the transverse second harmonic pulse beam that is the autocorrelation signal to be recorded, which is imaged with an optical microscope onto a charge coupled device camera mounted perpendicular to the beams.

Abstract: A method of distinguishing effective pulses from test pulses in a scintillation detector that generates measurement light pulses includes providing a regularly-pulsed test light source that produces individual test light pulses having a time-dependent course of relative light intensity, which differs from a time-dependent course of relative light intensity of the measurement light pulses. The test light pulses are provided to a light detector for measurement of the test light pulses. The time-dependent courses of the relative light intensities of the test light pulses are analyzed. The measured pulses are separated into the test light pulses and the measurement light pulses according to the different time-dependent courses of the relative light intensities. The detector includes a scintillator, a light detector, a regularly-pulsed test light source that is adapted provide test light pulses to the light detector for measurement, and an electronic measuring circuit.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a shape measuring apparatus includes a memory to store, as information regarding a pattern provided in a sample, two-dimensional information regarding a plane parallel with a surface of the sample, and an irradiation module to irradiate the surface of the sample with a beam. The apparatus further includes an irradiation controller to control an irradiation direction of the beam to the sample in accordance with the two-dimensional information, and an acquisition module to acquire scattering intensity data regarding the beam reflected by the surface of the sample. The apparatus further includes a calculator to calculate predicted scattering intensity data regarding the beam in accordance with a shape model that represents a three-dimensional shape of the pattern with a parameter, and a measurement module to measure the three-dimensional shape by adjusting the parameter and fitting the scattering intensity data and the predicted scattering intensity data.
