Abstract: A turbine powered or solar powered disinfection system is incorporated in the main fluid line that is flowing to a point-of-use (POU) or point-of-entry (POE) water system or water storage tank. Disinfectant is added to the flowing fluid line or disinfectant energy is otherwise imparted to the flowing fluid line. Energy from the turbine or solar power source can be stored in a rechargeable battery or other energy storage device. The power for the disinfection system can be monitored and conditioned by a control system or power convertor. Said control system can incorporate diagnostics, operating instructions, alarms, remote control functionality, or integration with other control systems. Disinfection can be provided by a chlorine or mixed oxidant generation system, an ozone system, a chlorine dioxide system, an ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system, or other disinfection system.

Abstract: A water supply system is provided including an air suction device for pulling in air from a surrounding area, an air humidity condensing system for transforming humidity contained in the pulled in air into water, a water collector for collecting the water generated by the air humidity condensing system, a water treatment system for filtering and disinfecting the collected water, and a water storage tank for storing the treated water. The water supply system can further include a power supply system for supplying power needed to operate the water supply system. The power supply system can include a solar power supply system and/or a thermoelectric power supply system.

Abstract: A collapsible water filter has a telescopic container and a filter cartridge. The telescopic container has a telescopic segment and a connection segment, and the telescopic segment having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end. The telescopic segment defines a holding space, and the holding space has a first opening adjacent to the first end of the telescopic segment. When the first end and the second end of the telescopic segment are under a force such that the first end and the second end approach each other, the volume of the holding space is reduced. When the first end and the second end of the telescopic segment are under a force such that the first end and the second end move away from each other, the volume of the holding space is increased.

Abstract: A potable water producing system for disposition at a salt water body and methods of producing potable water are provided. The system includes a wave energy conversion system (AWECS) and a portable filtration system. The AWECS forms a floating articulated barge having an onboard desalination system including reverse osmosis membranes. The filtration system is a sand filter residing on a damping plate submerged in the salt water body and filters the adjacent salt water for providing filtered salt water to the onboard desalination system. Wave action on the articulated barge provides energy to pump and pressurize the filtered salt water from the sand filter to the reverse osmosis membranes to produce potable water. The wave action on the articulated barge effects shaking of the reverse osmosis membranes, thereby rendering them self-cleaning. The potable water can be used for various applications, e.g., bottling, replenishing aquifers, ground and/or aquifer remediation, irrigation, etc.

Abstract: The improved liquid transportation and desalination system transports seawater or other saline liquids through a piped distribution system with essentially no moving parts by relying on MHD principles. A fluid pump device comprised of high-strength permanent magnets forming chambers through which the liquid passes and inter-chamber opposing electrode plates with an applied DC potential provide the magnetic flux density and electric current for generating the Lorentz forces acting on the liquid. The fluid pump device may be combined with a desalination filtration device for provision of fresh water near the end of the distribution line without the need for a largescale treatment plant. Desalination/filtration occurs through use of nano-porous graphene and/or carbon nanotube media.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a floating pool water controller for dispensing germicide and antimicrobial material into a swimming pool based upon real time pool conditions. The controller includes the ability to adjust to these ever changing conditions in real time, and, to do so remotely. The controller includes a housing adapted for floating on the pool water. Additionally, a dispenser is provided for dispensing Cu ion into the pool and includes a dispenser assembly connected to the housing. The controller is provided with a controller for adjusting the amount of Cu ion dispensed into the pool water. And, the controller includes a probe extending from the housing into the pool water for sensing pool conditions. Thus, upon sensing the pool conditions in real time, the controller can be adjusted to dispense the proper amount of Cu ion into the pool water.

Abstract: A mobile HEB and TEP mitigation device includes a mobile body capable of movement within or upon a body of water. Located within the mobile body is a hydrodynamic separation system which includes a water inlet, a hydrodynamic separation unit and a collection tank. The hydrodynamic separation unit includes two outputs, one for a clean stream output line containing clean water and arranged to re-circulate the clean water, and another for a concentrate stream output line, the concentrate stream output line configured to place concentrated water containing potentially harmful bio-organic materials into the collection tank. Also included on the mobile body is a power source and an engine/steering unit, wherein the steering portion of the engine/steering unit provides a capacity to move the mobile body in an intended direction. The mitigation device may also be used as an embedded part of an on-shore arrangement.

Abstract: A liquid purification system is provided. Although not limited to water, the purification system is especially suitable for water. The purification system utilizes a vessel having antimicrobial inner wall load bearing surfaces and/or antimicrobial (antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-mold, etc.) interior non-load bearing surfaces. When the liquid moves within the vessel and contacts the antimicrobial surfaces, the liquid becomes purified or sanitized. The inner wall load bearing surfaces and non-load bearing interior surfaces of the vessel may be manufactured from a host polymer that has antimicrobial organo-metallic additives which form a solid-solution with the host polymer and are distributed homogeneously throughout the host polymer. The host polymer matrix may be an organic material, an inorganic material or an organic-inorganic material blend. The antimicrobial agent polymer matrix may be located in localized zones within the vessel.

Abstract: A floor scrubbing apparatus includes a reservoir for an aqueous salt solution disposed in the floor scrubbing apparatus. An immersion device comprising a submersible housing with at least two iridium-coated electrodes spaced apart from each other within the submersible housing is adapted to be immersed into the reservoir. The floor scrubbing apparatus also includes a control module electrically coupled to the electrodes, wherein the control module controls application of electricity to cause a first electrode to be positively charged and a second electrode to be negatively charged. Abstract: A saltwater evaporation mechanism for the desalination of saltwater. The saltwater evaporation mechanism has an elevated saltwater reservoir with a bottom, sidewalls and an open upper end, a receiving reservoir with a bottom, sidewalls, and an open upper end, and a tunnel extending therebetween. The tunnel has a top panel, a bottom panel, and two side panels and is angled at a downward slope. The top panel extends from the tunnel to entirely cover the open upper end of the saltwater reservoir. Support legs equipped with wheels are positioned below the tunnel, allowing the tunnel to be easily moved and rotated when desired. A heat source is positioned underneath the saltwater reservoir and configured to heat the contents therein, creating water vapor. The water vapor condenses into desalinated water in the tunnel and is deposited in the receiving reservoir. In some embodiments, the heat source is powered by solar energy.
