Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and method for measuring quantum efficiency of a detector using a single pulse laser. Quantum efficiency of the measurement target detector may be measured from 420 nm to 1600 nm having uncertainty of 2% to 4% (K=2) by comparing the reference detector and the measurement target detector significantly different in sensitivity using a single laser pulse as a spectral light source. Also, it is possible to directly compare the two detectors with a significant difference in sensitivity through a very simple setup that causes a portion of a laser pulse output from a light source part to be absorbed by the reference detector and the laser pulse reflected from the reference detector to be irradiated to the measurement target detector.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a flat-plate focusing ultrasonic transducer and an acoustic lens composed of an annular array piezoelectric element and methods of manufacturing and designing thereof, more particularly to a flat-plate focusing ultrasonic transducer composed of an annular array piezoelectric element, wherein the annular array piezoelectric element has a plurality of concentric regions which is concentrically arranged in a concentric circle shape with respect to a center point, the concentric region has ring shaped sound insulation regions and piezoelectric regions which are alternatively formed in a direction from the center point to a radius direction, so as to focus a sound wave near a focal point, wherein the piezoelectric regions are composed of a piezoelectric ring that is composed of a piezoelectric material and thus excites a sound wave, the concentric region is in a shape of a flat-plate of which both sides are flat and which has a constant thickness, and each radius of the plurality of the sound insulation regions and the piezoelectric regions in the concentric region are calculated based on a set focal length of the ultrasonic transducer and a frequency of a set sound wave.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for increasing an intensity of a signal detected in a spectroscopy device using a vapor cell and a spectroscopy device using the same. An operation method of the spectroscopy device may include: causing a first light for exciting an atom trapped in a vapor cell in a first hyperfine ground state to a first excited state to be incident on the vapor cell; causing a second light for exciting an atom trapped in the vapor cell in a second hyperfine ground state to a second excited state to be incident on the vapor cell; causing a third light for exciting the atom in the second excited state to a third excited state to be incident on the vapor cell; and detecting fluorescence which is emitted while the atom in the third excited state returns to the ground state.

Abstract: A tandem solar cell includes a substrate a plurality of sub-cells stacked on the substrate and configured to sequentially perform photoelectric conversion with different wavelength band, and a metal disk array disposed on at least one of interfaces between adjacent sub-cells. A center wavelength of wavelength bands corresponding to the sub-cells gradually decreases as progressing downward with respect to an uppermost layer. The metal disk array reflects a light transmitting a sub-cell disposed over the metal disk array without being absorbed therein. The metal disk array is inserted by means of wafer bonding.
