Abstract: A position transducer has an input shaft coupled to a variable inductance sensor to produce an output electrical signal representing shift angle position. The transducer includes a plurality of rigid circuit boards which are hinged to one another so that the circuit boards and the electronic circuitry supported on the boards can be wrapped around the variable inductance sensor. The individual rigid circuit board segments are laminated onto a flexible sheet having conductive tracks. The track sheet provides the hinged effect.The power supply which is mounted on one or more of the boards provides DC power through an AC circuit fed by a transistor which is switched on and off as a function of the power needs of the transducer. By thus having an ON duty cycle substantially less than 100 percent, the heat generated in the power supply is minimized thereby making feasible the packing density afforded by the plurality of hinged circuit boards.

Abstract: A telephone connector in which a contact holder carrying a plurality of contacts is disposed in a body which has in its front a plug receiving hole and is open at its bottom. The scoring cutter has top and bottom circular blades set to a gap and rotatable in opposite directions to each other. Resilient wheels, four in number, having diameters slightly larger than the blades, are mounted for rotation with respect to the blades, one on each side of each blade. A circuit board is fed between the blades, and the resilient wheels position the circuit board in the gap between the blades.

Abstract: A double-sided flexible electronic circuit module is provided having a flexible printed circuit board. The flexible circuit board has a plurality of conductive paths on each surface and a plurality of conductively plated-through apertures being connected to the conductive paths. One side of the flexible circuit board is adapted to carry components with leads; the other side of the flexible circuit board is adapted to receive components without leads. A carrier member, larger than the flexible circuit board and of a size and shape sufficient to accommodate the placement of at least one flexible circuit board, is also provided. The carrier member has a plurality of apertures which are in alignment with the apertures of the flexible circuit board, and a plurality of elongated slots in predetermined positions which extend the entire width of the flexible circuit board which is temporarily affixed onto the carrier member. All of the components are soldered to the flexible circuit board, the carrier member acting as a support member to the components having leads.

Abstract: A printed circuit board assembly usable in a transceiver microphone is disclosed. The assembly comprises a first printed circuit board having components mounted thereon which is fixed to one side of a circuit board carrier by retaining tangs.
