Abstract:
A fluororubber composition comprising 1 to 100 parts by weight of a needle-like filler or fibrous filler having an average particle diameter of 5 μm or less, an average particle length of 40 to 60 μm, and an aspect ratio of 10 to 12, based on 100 parts by weight of fluororubber. A fluororubber vulcanization-molded product obtained from the fluororubber composition has resistance against deformation due to the shape effect of the filler, and thereby can suppress the deformation of the oil seal sliding surface towards the sliding direction. More specifically, the fluororubber vulcanization-molded product can achieve less friction, while maintaining sealing properties by increasing the amount of oil pumping, from the initial use of an oil seal to after the abrasion of the oil seal.

The resin composition comprises relative to 100 parts by weight of a resin component comprising 30 to 100% by weight of a polycarbonate resin and 70% by weight or less of a styrene-based resin, 10 to 100 parts by weight of a glass filler and 2 to 20 parts by weight of a laser direct structuring additive, wherein the laser direct structuring additive comprises a metal oxide, a component of the largest blending amount among the metal components is tin, a component of the second largest blending amount is antimony, and in addition lead and/or copper are contained.

The present invention relates to a component for rail fixing systems manufactured from a fibre-reinforced plastics material which consists of a basic plastics material and reinforcement fibres integrated therein. The component for rail fixing systems according to the invention can be manufactured from plastics materials in a cost-effective manner and combines a low weight with a mechanical resilience optimally matching the requirements with the greatest possible level of design freedom. This is achieved by manufacturing the component by using injection moulding compounding and the length of the reinforcement fibres being an average of at least 200 μm.

Polyimide resin compositions that contain an aromatic polyimide, graphite, and acicular titanium dioxide are found to exhibit high thermal oxidative stability. Such compositions are especially useful in molded articles that are exposed to high temperatures, such as bushings, bearings, and seal rings that are used in aerospace, transportation, and materials handling applications.

The invention relates to a nanocomposite material that contains a polymer binder, a filler and a fraction of nanoparticles, characterized in that the fraction of nanoparticles comprises multi-layered carbon particles having a toroid-like shape with a size of 15 to 150 nm, wherein the ratio between the outer diameter and the thickness of the toroid body is in a range of (10-3):1. This nano-modification makes it possible to obtain an efficient compaction and hardening of the nanocomposite material close to the filler/binder inter-phase barrier, and accordingly to increase the average density, elasticity, hardness and resistance of the material. The invention can be used for making various parts and articles for use in mechanical engineering and transport, including instrument holders for the precise surface treatment of parts.
