Abstract:
A device for transferring load carriers between conveyor paths arranged at an angle relative to one another. The device has at least one guide element which is movable by a drive in the transporting path of the load carriers on a first conveyor path and in the direction of a second conveyor path for transferring the load carriers into the second conveyor path. In order to enable a reliable transfer of the load carriers and a high transfer capacity at the same time, the guide element is constructed as a driver which can move into a recess in the load carrier in a positive-locking manner for the transfer process.
Abstract:
A transporting system including, guide rails which laterally define a travel path that has branches, a floor conveyor vehicle which is guided by the guide rails and has two longitudinal sides, a pair of guide rollers which are arranged at each of the longitudinal sides of the vehicle so as to engage with the guide rails at least on one side, the pair of guide rollers including inner and outer guide rollers. A switching mechanism is provided for changing the travel path within a branch. The switching mechanism being arranged at the vehicle and including a swivel drive for the outer guide rollers of the pair of guide rollers. The outer guide rollers are supported on the vehicle so as to be swivelable between a guidance position, in which the inner and outer guide rollers engage with the guide rail, and an open position in which the outer guide rollers release the guide rail.
Abstract:
A roller conveyor train is disclosed with support rollers including a support roller having a first axial end and a second axial end, a first axle aligned with an axis for supporting a first bearing, a second axle aligned with the axis for supporting a second bearing. The first bearing is inserted and placed at the first axial end of the support roller. The second bearing is inserted and placed at the second axial end of the support roller. A first bearing is inserted and placed at the first axial end of the support roller. A second bearing is inserted and placed at the second axial end of the support roller. A first side cheek of the roller conveyor train has a support plate disposed inside of the first side cheek. The support plate is attached from the outside to the first side cheek. The first side cheek rests on the support plate attached from the outside and supports the first axle for the roller to run on. The support roller protrudes with its first axial end through a first receiver openings in a web of the first side cheek. The first axle rests disengagable on the first side cheek.
Abstract:
The time required for several calibration signals to traverse a signal path (1, 2, 3) is determined and compared with a nominal value. The individual calibration signals have different values for at least one signal parameter. Depending on the results of the comparison, a control signal is produced for each value of the signal parameter. Of the intelligence signal, the value of the signal parameter to be taken into account in the determination of the control signal is measured prior to the traversal of the signal path, and the control signal assigned to this value is selected. The control signal can be used in DME transponders to set an exact transponder delay, and in DME interrogators to allow for delay variations in the distance measurement.
Abstract:
Common solar radiation receivers are equipped with a chamber for transmission of an operating gas which is directed along to an absorber for solar radiation for thermal absorption. The absorber has a dome-shaped entry window made of quartz glass, wherein the inner side facing the absorber assumes a nominal interior temperature Ti of at least 950° C. during proper use, preferably at least 1000° C., whereas the outer side facing away from the absorber is exposed to the environment and subject to risk of devitrification. The invention relates to modifying the known solar radiation receiver so that a high absorber temperature can be set and thus a high efficiency of the solar thermal heating is enabled, without increasing the risk of devitrification in the region of the outer side of the entry window.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a surge protection system for use with an ion source assembly. The system comprises a high voltage power source coupled in series with a thermionic diode and an ion source assembly. The high voltage power supply is enclosed in the pressure tank and drives the ion source assembly. The thermionic diode is comprised of an insulating tube disposed between the ion source assembly enclosure and the output of the high voltage power supply and makes use of existing ion source assembly components to limit damage to the power supply during arc failures of the ion source assembly.
Abstract:
The focusing operation of a microscope, control rotary knobs which receive the motion of fingers or hand of an operator to change the focus position relative to a sample under observation. Two of the control rotary knobs are on a common shaft and coaxial with one another and rotationally fixed with respect to one another, and are connected to a position encoder. A toggle switch which is connected to the control circuit and can be actuated by touching or moving one or both rotary control knobs. Whereby the drive circuit is configured such that it generates, as a function of the rotation of the two rotary knobs and as a function of the actuation or position of the toggle switch, a rough or fine adjustment of the focus position relative to the sample under observation.
Abstract:
A pivot bearing having a first bearing surface of hollow cylindrical design, at least in sections. Guided in the first bearing surface is a second bearing surface of hollow cylindrical design, at least in sections. Rolling bodies are arranged between the bearing surfaces. The pivot bearing also has a cage for guiding the rolling bodies, and a slide block to prevent the cage from slipping. A first grove is formed in the first bearing surface and a second grove is formed in the second bearing surface. The groves are inclined transversely with respect to the running direction of the rolling bodies. The opposite inclination of the groves has the result that, if the spacing between the bearing surfaces is neglected, the grooves intersect. The sliding block is guided between the grooves. The cage has a recess that holds the sliding block permitting cage control.
Abstract:
A laser radiation-guiding device including: a laser including a control unit; ports for connection of one module each, it being possible that laser radiation may exit at the ports. The device further can include joining part sensors respectively assigned to a port and whose electrical condition depends on whether a predetermined joining part is spaced apart from the respective port by less than a maximum distance in a predetermined orientation relative to the respective port, and an evaluating unit connected to the joining part sensors via a signal link that detects the electrical conditions of the joining part sensors and, depending on the detected conditions, emits a control signal to the control unit of the laser or to a laser radiation-blocking unit, by which emission of eye-damaging laser radiation to the ports of the device can be prevented inhibited.
Abstract:
An apparatus that forms a source bushing, while comprehending the possible formation of electrically conductive films thereon, is disclosed. Such an apparatus may advantageously be used to isolate an ion source from other components within the ion implanter, as these components may be at different electrical potentials. In one embodiment, the source bushing is constructed from a material having a lower electrical resistance than is currently used. By constructing the bushing in this manner, the effects of the applied lower resistance films is reduced, as the change in effective resistance is reduced. In other embodiments, the source bushing is purposely lined with an electrically semiconducting material, so that the effects of the later applied lining are minimized. In either case, the electrical potential between the two devices that are being isolated by the bushing is more evenly applied across the bushing.
