The disclosure provides that the coating supply will control the coating agent pressure and/or the flow rate of the coating agent. Furthermore, the disclosure includes an associated operating method.

Abstract: A perforated plate for an application device for application of a fluid to a component, preferably a motor vehicle body and/or an attachment for this, comprises at least four through-holes for passage of the fluid. The through-holes are assigned to a nozzle row with a central region and two edge regions and are spaced apart from each other by hole spacings. The at least one outermost hole spacing of the nozzle row in at least one edge region is larger than at least one hole spacing in the central region. An application device and an application method with such a perforated plate is also disclosed.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a coating method for coating a component with a coating agent, comprising the following steps: moving an application device over a component surface of the component to be coated, delivering a coating agent jet (9) from the application device to the component surface that is to be coated, defining switching points on the component surface for initiating a switching action, in particular for switching on or switching off a coating agent jet, and performing the switching action when one of the switching points is reached. The disclosure provides the following steps: marking the switching points on the component surface by generating a switching marking on the component surface at the individual switching points, detecting the switching markings corresponding to the individual switching points during movement of the application device, and performing the switching actions when the switching markings are detected on the component surface. The disclosure further includes a corresponding coating installation.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a cleaning device for cleaning a nozzle applicator, which is designed for applying a coating agent to a component and has a plurality of application nozzles in a nozzle region in order to discharge the coating agent through the application nozzles during application in an application direction. The cleaning device comprises a rinsing agent supply for supplying a rinsing agent for cleaning the nozzle applicator, and a docking interface for docking the nozzle applicator to be cleaned to the cleaning device. The disclosure provides that the docking interface is configured to flush the rinsing agent into the nozzle applicator through the application nozzles of the nozzle applicator in a direction opposite to the normal application direction. Furthermore, the disclosure comprises a corresponding cleaning method.
