    Abstract: Embodiments may implement a new hierarchical data structure for traffic indication mapping to facilitate transmissions for wireless communications devices. Many embodiments comprise MAC sublayer logic to generate and transmit management frames such as beacon frames with a partial virtual bitmap based upon the hierarchical data structure for traffic indication mapping. In some embodiments, the MAC sublayer logic may store the traffic indication map and/or the traffic indication map structure in memory, in logic, or in another manner that facilitates transmission of the frames. Some embodiments may receive, detect, and decode communications with frames comprising the partial virtual bitmap based upon the hierarchical data structure. In some embodiments, indications of buffered data for pages, super-blocks, blocks, sub-blocks, and/or stations may be inverted. In several embodiments, a new association identifier (AID) structure is defined for the new hierarchical data structure for traffic indication mapping.

    Abstract: Logic may enable client devices or access points to relay medium access control (MAC) frames through a Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) Direct network such as a network of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) connections to extend the wireless range of the devices or access points beyond the transmission range of the individual devices or access points. Logic may extend the range of IEEE 802.11 devices, such as IEEE 802.11ah devices, by allowing a station in the middle of two stations to serve as a relay station using the Wi-Fi Direct technology. Logic may enable relaying to avoid a full mesh technology such as is defined in IEEE 802.11s, since the full mesh technology may contain too many features that are not required for a simple or a static network configuration of such embodiments.

    Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and computer-readable media related to employing rate adaptation in full-duplex communication. A first computing device may establish with a second computing device a full-duplex communication channel having a forward data transmission direction and a reverse data transmission direction. The first computing device may transmit to the second computing device a first data portion in the forward data transmission direction of the full-duplex communication channel at a default data transmission rate. The first computing device may receive a second data portion in the reverse direction of the full-duplex communication channel containing a forward channel quality information (CQI) associated with the forward data transmission direction. The first computing device may transmit a third data portion at a first data transmission rate, wherein the first data transmission rate is based at least in part on the forward CQI contained in the second data portion.

    Abstract: Logic may decide which service advertisement information to transmit in a service advertisement frame based on link margin information of each service advertisement received. Logic may filter the service advertisement information to avoid advertising service information for service providers that cannot be reached. A first station may receive a service advertisement from a second station and determine whether to include the service advertisement with a transmission of the first station's service advertisement based upon perceived proximity of the second station. A station may generate a Leaving Message if a user terminates service advertisements of the station or the station appears to be moving away from a service advertisement group. In response to receiving a Leaving Message from a neighboring station, a station may remove the neighboring station from a list of service providers maintained by the station.
