Abstract: A miniaturized transistor, a transistor with low parasitic capacitance, a transistor with high frequency characteristics, or a semiconductor device including the transistor is provided. The semiconductor device includes a first insulator, an oxide semiconductor over the first insulator, a first conductor and a second conductor that are in contact with the oxide semiconductor, a second insulator that is over the first and second conductors and has an opening reaching the oxide semiconductor, a third insulator over the oxide semiconductor and the second insulator, and a fourth conductor over the third insulator. The first conductor includes a first region and a second region. The second conductor includes a third region and a fourth region. The second region faces the third region with the first conductor and the first insulator interposed therebetween. The second region is thinner than the first region. The third region is thinner than the fourth region.

Abstract: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a display device using a micro LED as a display element. To manufacture a display device using a micro LED as a display element in a high yield. Employed is a method for manufacturing a display device, including: forming a plurality of transistors in a matrix over a substrate (800), forming conductors (21, 23) electrically connected to the transistors over the substrate (800), and forming a plurality of light-emitting elements (51) in a matrix over a film (927). Each of the light-emitting elements (51) includes electrodes (85, 87) on one surface and the other surface is in contact with the film (927). The conductors (21, 23) and the electrodes (85, 87) are opposed to each other. An extrusion mechanism (929) is pushed out from the film (927) side to the substrate (800) side so that the conductors (21, 23) and the electrodes (85, 87) are in contact with each other, whereby the conductors (21, 23) and the electrodes (85, 87) are electrically connected to each other.

Abstract: A display device having high light-extraction efficiency is provided. A low-power display device is provided. In a red or green pixel included in the display device, a light-emitting element, an optically functional layer, and a wavelength-conversion layer are stacked in this order. The light-emitting element emits blue light, the optically functional layer transmits the blue light and reflects red and green light, and the wavelength-conversion layer converts the blue light into red or green light. The blue light emitted by the light-emitting element passes through the optically functional layer and enters the wavelength-conversion layer, and red or green light is emitted to the outside. The red or green light emitted from the wavelength-conversion layer to the optically functional layer side is reflected by the optically functional layer and emitted to the outside, which improves light-extraction efficiency.

Abstract: A display apparatus with high resolution or high definition is provided. The display apparatus includes a first light-emitting device, a second light-emitting device, a first insulating layer, a first coloring layer, and a second coloring layer. The first light-emitting device includes a first pixel electrode, a first EL layer, and a common electrode that are stacked in this order. The second light-emitting device includes a second pixel electrode, a second EL layer, and the common electrode that are stacked in this order. The first coloring layer overlaps with the first light-emitting device. The second coloring layer transmitting light of a color different from a color of light transmitted by the first coloring layer overlaps with the second light-emitting device. The first EL layer and the second EL layer have the same structure and are separated from each other. An end portion of the first EL layer is positioned over the first pixel electrode. An end portion of the second EL layer is positioned over the second pixel electrode. The first insulating layer covers side surfaces of the first pixel electrode, the second pixel electrode, the first EL layer, and the second EL layer. The common electrode is positioned over the first insulating layer.
