Abstract:
The present invention relates to an improved method for accelerating restoration of blood flow in treatment of an acutely thrombosed coronary artery by employing real time transthoracic 3D ultrasonic volume imaging at or near the base of the heart, and/or proximate the basal aspect of the associated left ventricular regional wall motion abnormality. Ultrasonic pulses provided by 3D imaging uniquely and necessarily deliver ultrasound to a broad target volume to stimulate the coronary arteries (which are difficult to image with ultrasound, and comprise tortious three dimensional structures), in view to providing an agitative and clot disruptive effect to a hidden, culprit, thrombosed, coronary vessel. In the preferred embodiment an intravenous microbubble solution is concurrently administered with 3D ultrasound which creates a dramatic synergy in disrupting the culprit thrombosis. Further incorporation of intravenously administered thrombolytics and co-use of transthoracic low frequency sonic vibration massage along with 3D ultrasonic imaging and microbubbles (including whereby thrombolytics are contained within microbubbles) to expedite initial reflow and facilitate microvascular flow (in avoidance of the no-reflow phenomenon following epicardial vessel recanalization) are also discussed.
Abstract:
A sexual stimulation device includes an elongated dildo housing sized to be received within an orifice of a human body, the housing defining an internal cavity extending along a longitudinal axis of the housing, a mass laterally constrained within the cavity and movable linearly along the cavity, and an electrically driven actuator disposed within the housing and operably coupled to the mass. The actuator is operable to accelerate the mass along the cavity and to thereby induce a longitudinal reactive acceleration of the housing.
Abstract:
The invention muscle fiber excitation system (MFES) targets improving muscular and skeletal systems and preventing blood clots. MFES consists of 2 shafts, each affixed with 2 CAMs featuring surround peaks and valleys surfaces, a platform with stiffener side and compliant other side, and 4 plungers at the corners. The shafts tied with timing bets through pulleys are driven with DC motor. As the CAMs rotate the peaks and valleys make contacts with the platform stiffener side causing the platform to telescope 1 mm to 4 mm displacements, transferring contact stress stimuli from platform stiffener to compliant human contact side at frequency that encompass muscle fiber excitation frequencies. Wearable and standing model tests show improved bone density, muscle contraction and blood flow, preventing blood pooling. There is no side effect compared to use of blood thinners for blood clot prevention. Wearable model is concealable compared to compression pneumatic device with user complaints.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a new and improved wearable (or fastenable, or adhearable) vibration massage system directly localized, focused and engaged upon or overlying a selected target artery of a user. The vibration massage waves are advantageously derived from a “mentally stimulating”, or “cognitively meaningful” soundtrack, of preferably music, whereby a user can simultaneously listen to the soundtrack in real time, thereby providing a synchronized, harmonized tactile and auditory experience. The provided system is essentially MUSical vibration applied upon a target ARTtery—hence is hereinafter described as the “MUSART” therapy system. Various modes of application of the tactile vibratory stimulus, as well as modes for invasive delivery of acoustic stimulation directly in contact with a target artery, are presented.
Abstract:
A device for non-invasively mechanically stimulating bone or muscle includes a vibrational energy generator for applying vibrational energy to a first end of a length of a tissue which includes bone and/or muscle. The vibrational energy is for inducing strain in at least one region within the length of tissue. A restraint is disposed opposite the first end of the length to resist translation of the length during operation of the device and to provide loading to the bone or muscle. A connecting structure couples the restraint to the vibrational energy generator. The device does not require gravity to operate and as a result is expected to have applications in space, such as with astronauts, with those having bone aliments such as bed-ridden patients, persons with osteoporosis or disuse atrophy, athletes, recovering bone cancer patients, and persons with musculoskeletal disorders.
Abstract:
A mechanized dildo, including a motor driven coaxial plurality of longitudinally spaced drive cams, and corresponding sets of passive cams that operate within an elastic phallic sleeve to locally cyclically expand a girth of the sleeve. Optional vibratory elements are positioned proximate a distal extremity of the sleeve, and in a laterally extending arm that is formed for clitoral stimulation. A battery powered control handle provides multiple operating modes and speeds.

Abstract:
Portable devices and methods for preventing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) by assuring that the ankle is flexed and extended sufficiently to promote blood flow in the lower leg are disclosed. The device includes an actuator with a free movement mode that allows a patient to move freely between activations or to initiate movement to delay a next automatic activation.
